My niece’s car blew up, and she’s in a time crunch. I used the pre-negotiated leases as a guide, and was able to come up with this deal. What do you think? Incidentally, every other dealer was a $375 to $385 per month same due at signing.
TBH it’s an unhacked lease. I don’t think anyone here would pay that high of a percentage of a car’s purchase price to lease it, return it and rinse/repeat. Kia’s incentives are mostly all geared towards subsidizing APRs for financing:

Kia’s other finance deals can’t be bundled with cash-back offers, but they’re still worth a look, especially since the national average interest rate for a new car loan is hovering around 7.11%. Kia is offering 0% financing for 60 months on the 2025 Niro hybrids and low 0.9% financing for 60 months on all 2025 Sportage, Sorento and Telluride models. A number of Kia vehicles have 48-month financing deals, including the 2025 K5 (0.9%), Seltos (1.9%), K4 (3.25%), Soul (4.9%) and 2026 Carnival (2.49%).
I agree with your sentiment. This is to get her into something relatively cheap, so she can save for three years, and then purchase something. The 5% interest was one of the cheaper leases I could find. I tried hacking some of the hybrids and EV’s before she told me she doesn’t have a way to charge it, and has a long commute.
My goal was to save her money on the car, but also keep her fuel bill cheap, so I went with a NA 2.0, and I wanted her maintenance and overall costs to be as low as possible giving her a chance to save. If I’d had more than 3 days, I would have definitely done better. I’m paying the same on an $86k vehicle for a 2 year lease.
I don’t know about leasing, but I’ve seen some ridiculous purchase deals on Elantra’s near me if you can get a decent discount on top of the $2500 incentive. They’re great little cars for the price and appear to have a ton more available than the K4 right now.
Correction, $2500 is on the hybrid (that’s what I’m looking at), it’s $1250 on the gas.
In CA, the Elantra’s are sub 150s, (with 3k) so I would think in IN it would be the cheapest lease. I have not seen sub 150 K4s. That’s why I recommended he look into those, he might even get a better deal than the K4
