yea does anyone know if I purchase a sams club membership today can I use it tomorrow for a rebate? Also, do I need an Amex AND the sams or can I just have the sams?

MB Fleet, Amex, Sams, and Penfed are the same rebate…just with different names.

I have no idea, search around here for ‘Sams’ and see if it works. If it was Costco, it would not.

Macys AMEX isn’t an ‘Amex’, I believe it’s a house brand. I have it myself and it says ‘Macy’s/Citi’ on my credit report I believe

Anything Amex except for a Store branded card. I have an Optima by Amex and it works.

I don’t know the answer to your specific question, but Amex is both a transaction processor (like Visa or Mastercard) and it owns a couple of card-issuing banks (similar role to Chase or Capital One vis a vis the other cards you may have in your wallet).
With payment cards, some of the benefits are offered by the card issuer (like 2% cash back per dollar spent), and some from the processing network.
Your Macy’s Amex is issued by Department Stores National Bank, which is part of Citi. It just uses the Amex processing network to facilitate payments, credits, etc.
