Deal Check: BMW X5 x40i 2024

, ,

Hi all, could you please help me understand if this is a deal worth taking:

BMW X5 x40i 2024 LOANER with 5,500 miles

MSRP: $75,320

DAS: $5200
$899/m
36 months
12k miles

I am turning in my lease, which they told me they are able to access $2k equity as well.

Not sure what else to add, but thanks to ya’ll in advance.

Haven’t ran the numbers myself, but I’m seeing brokers on marketplace advertise $900/m payments for new cars. I’d expect a better monthly on a fart car.

I understand, theres no msd here and your getting 12k miles, but your putting $7,200 DAS for a loaner. Doesnt look like a good deal, trying talking to the brokers here you can end up maybe getting new with your taste for same?

Yeah, I’d love to get into a new one, but seems like they are over $1k/m according to the brokers.
The funny part about getting into a loaner - the dealer refuses to show the car before the pick-up day, like you’re not buying a $70k vehicle rather a used bike off of fb marketplace.

I just used @nyclife bmw x5 calculator this is what i got for 12k, no msd (maybe you can use if deal is done in new jersey) New, nyc tax upfront

I just used it as well and messaged @nyclife
Maybe they can help me out on this

thanks for this tip though

No problem also theres a wanted page too you can post what you exactly you want and other brokers will present you offers.

Goodluck

If you’re putting 7k down (5.2k+2k equity) I’d be in the mid 9’s on a brand new one

Look at it this way. You are spending nearly $40,000 to drive a used MRSP $75,000 car for 3 years. This doesn’t make financial sense to me, but it may to you. Do your due diligence before spending this kind of money. I would buy a new X5 and hold on to it for 7-8 years instead.

Even 5yr ownership cycles make more sense than repetitive leases here.

I am biased but this seems much better!

And IAC may get him tax credits
