Deal Check - BMW X5 X Drive

Thoughts on this deal? Here is my calculator

I am exhausted dealing with CA dealers that act like I am crazy when I ask for anything below MSRP so this is via out of state broker – it doesn’t include reg fees and shipping.

My guy, check @clutch if you haven’t already. He got me my X5 in SoCal not too long ago.

I think he only has discounted X3s in SoCal right now :pensive:

Here are the details. What is wrong with my calculator numbers? Something is off when I look at final numbers. Assumes bmw loyalty.

2023 BMW x5
10% msrp
MF 0.019
1243 down

We’d have to fly to pick up this car so what else should we do to make sure the deal is solid before getting on a plane? (I’ve exhausted the dealers in my area— no one is entertaining offers. Not many broker deals in my area as well)

That looks like a MF markup extremely bad.

I suspect they are including the $3,250 in incentives in the 10% discount amount. So the real discount is only about 5%.

Thanks! Which part is the MF mark up? They said 0.0019 APR which is base. Is it the “non tax fees”?

Good call, I told the sales rep that loyalty is on top of requested 10% discount but will confirm. Not doing the deal if incentives are a part of quoted price!

According to Edmunds, .0019 is the base money factor, so it is not being marked up.

Did you compare this with with @Clutch offers?

Loyalty?

Youd be ahead going with one of the Clutch x5 deals.

Your payment is way too high for 10% discount so they must be including the incentives. If you remove the incentives in your calculator and change the RV to 52 you will get close. Are there any addons? If you are in CA I can probably help you get 9% with much lower dealer fees. PM me if you want.

Yep I did. Clutch has been awesome but doesn’t have much X5 inventory in SoCal right now. The msrp is much higher so it’s out of range for us

Have you considered purchasing instead? You could do a 72 month loan and come ahead with a cheaper monthly payment, even with 0 down at the MSRP you’re looking at.

Don’t forget to factor in your total cost to acquire this lease. If you have to pay for plane ticket, ship the car, broker fees your effective discount is much lower than 10%. When I negotiate with an out of state dealer that would require shipping I usually add an extra % or two to my required discount.

For reference, we financed a $79,420 + tax (paid that with a down payment) X5 45e for $1300/month at 66 months. Granted that this was 4 months ago where we were able to get a 2.5% interest rate. Might be something worth looking into though?

Good rates can still be had, albeit few and far between. I got 2.74% last week for 72 months. Tomorrow is the last day of the month, I suspect the lowest as of 11/1 will be 2.99 at my lender … which is still outstanding based on every other rate I’ve seen out there recently.

Im surprised to hear that. When I was looking for X5e 3-4 months back, I had no problem with getting a little off but I know they offered me 4-5k off without any negotiation on a standard X5

What is your lender?
