Deal Check BMW X3 30i 36mo/10k

,

I’ve been negotiating with various dealers in NJ/PA (I live in NYC) and I can’t seem to get anything better than this. Any idea on what I should I negotiate down? I believe the MF is marked up. $539 includes NY tax and $3500 Is the total drive-off.

At best it looks like the total cost of your lease is at $22365 and at worse it could be more if they decide to hit you with any fees they didnt roll into the DAS or Cap Cost , for example, the first months payment, DMV or anything else.

Either way, even at best, its approx about 2500 higher than some of the Broker deals I have seen here that are in the $19,500-20,000 range for total cost of lease. So you can definitely do better.

The first major problem, that I actually learned here by doing alot of research is that those numbers dont tell the full picture of your potential lease…you need more detailed info from the dealer then plug it into the lease calculator here or look for my lease template, and you can know exactly what they are charging you for the full lease, then that will help you see what you can negotiate further

Im sure other more experienced pros here can give you even more advice

Almost 700 a month. I remember the days when that much actually got you something special.

On a 30i (non-loaner) x-trim build with $49k MSRP, I was offered 36 term 10k miles per year $595 including tax and fee up front $3660 plus DMV fees, This is a dealer in LI with car registered in NYC. I didnt take it as I want to see if a broker can do better. Not sure if it is realistic with the inventory issues now, but I’m looking for a $550 deal with just 1st month and bank fee, dmv fees due at signing.

You’re in the broker capital of the world. Broker time.

the price is crazy due to the car inventory. I even got a quote for loaner car like this in a dealer. But in another dealer, for similar car, the monthly pay is 100+ less.

Update: $535 + $3,500 DAS. Down payment is only $585. Can anyone make sense out of these numbers?

Stop bothering.
It doesn’t appear you are making the necessary efforts to utilize this site by understanding the only things that matter

  1. selling price before incentives (pre incentive discount)
  2. manufacturer Incentives you quality for
  3. Base money factor is being used
  4. residual value.

If you had those 4 things you can very easily build your own calculator and see what’s happening with this quote or at least know the areas to question.
People on this site are very very willing to help but try to help us help you.

Again- we will direct you to a broker if you don’t want to do the work yourself…
Below is an example of a very obtainable price from a broker… This is assuming you quality for loyalty and cannot put MSD down.

This quote is some 2700 cheaper than the one you have. This is before accounting for an average 400 dollar broker fee.

mattlar is right, these numbers are confusing for a reason…they are meant to be by the dealer as it gives them opportunity to make necessary adjustments as needed to make you feel like they are further discounting if you are shopping their prices but at the same time, they can shift the numbers to a different area.

The best thing you can do is get those main numbers that mattlar mentioned and then we can help you further. You can also use this lease template that I created to make it even easier for you to just plug in the numbers in the green fields and my spreadsheet will auto calculate everything else for you…
