Deal Check - Blazer EV LT

Looking for an electric … SUV … and gather the Blazer EV is the lowest cost option that Car & Driver rates well.

Calc here

2.17% off MSRP – dealers in my area are advertising them with the EV credit so I can’t tell what % off might be typical

This just seems like too much to pay for a Blazer EV LT. Discount is too low. You should shoot for at least 6% discount before any incentives. There was a Pre-negotiated deal in CA for about $330 a month with about another $1K down.

Back and forth a few times … here is where I’m at.

Anyone know if in IL you can get the tax back via trade-in on another lease? You used to be able too IIRC, but I believe that has changed. Wouldn’t make sense anymore given you don’t pay tax on the full vehicle anymore but dealers seemed to have ‘tax credits’ they could shift from deal to deal as needed which I never quite understood.

Truecar says 7% off regionaly

I don’t actually know what incentives they’ve applied. I qualify for lease and/or conquest - the calculator allows one or the other. There is the suggestion there is a $500 ‘discount’ for showing my Costco card? There wasn’t any discussion of opening a GM card but even so it would be $1500 … ultimately if they’ve provided it as a written offer not sure it matters?

And in IL there doesn’t seem to be a one-pay … perhaps because of the low MF?

Why does the pricing decrease the further away one gets? That seems really strange. You would think it would be the opposite. Give them an address 100 miles away and see how low they will go!

Sorry for the confusing wording. A dealer located 25 miles away shows a 7.35% discount online, while another dealer 75 miles away is offering a 9.96% discount.

PS - since the The October rates take effect tomorrow—anyone know when they will be available to view?
