Deal Check - AZ Ford Mach-E Premium

Hi
First time leaser here
Plan is to buy out as soon as possible after leasing to take advantage of rebate(9600).
This is what I have right now with one of the dealers.
Does this look good to proceed with . Any suggestions/feedback. as to how to proceed.
Thank you all so much.

a one-pay on a lease you’re buying out doesn’t make sense. it’ll take at least a month for you to get the correct paperwork for titling, seems like you’d want to outlay as little cash as possible during that time.

also why a mach-e versus any of the other vehicles out there that offer better leases?

Ford’s 24 month programs are pretty bad compared to 36 months due to the low-ish resid. Unless you are unable to use the lease beyond 24 months, it’s better to shoot for 36 months on an MME at the current buy rate MF.

Some other automakers have EVs and lease programs that better fit the 24 month structure. Like the Chevy Blazer/Equinox, Kia EV6, and Nissan Ariya 24 months blow the Ford MME pricing out of the water.

Makes no sense. Are you telling me you pay a monthly use tax of 1130.10?

USD $47 per month?

Why the ? mark? Are you asking me?

it’s listed as a 24 month one pay, that appears to be monthly use tax * 24 months

I doubt you want to own this vehicle. Let the lease run out for 36 months.

Thank you for your response.
I have asked and am waiting for a response from the dealer about whether Ford supports early buyouts etc. I just want the least amount of transactions to happen before I buy the car. If they say that I have to wait like 3 months then I might just go month by month till then.
I personally like the mach-e and the main reason for going this route is to get the 9600 rebate which they are not giving for finance/cash options

I think they just did the monthly times 24 as I asked for one-pay option

I have traditionally bought cars to own and usually through the finance route.

I had originally talked with the dealer for a normal finance option but given the 9600 additional rebate for leases, I thought will get into a lease and then do an early buy out like a week later.
 I have since researched on LeaseHackr and see that this is not how it actually works but want to do a buy out asap.
I see that Toyota finance seems a bit better at this kind of thing whereas with Ford, one likely waits at least 120 days.

With the Ford lease MF basically at zero; there is no benefit whatsoever to buy out a MME lease early.

At the end of your lease, if you have positive equity, then you can pay to take possession of the vehicle. If at the end of the lease, the MME is worthless in the used car market, you dump that MME as fast as possible.

If you buy out the MME, you lose the above optionality. With the MF at basically zero, it costs you nothing to maintain that optionality.

Whatever money you would have spent each month to buy out your MME, save the difference between your lease payments and that buy-out-spending so you can earn some interest on it.

Thank you so much. These are good points.
Based on all the responses, I most probably will end up doing monthly.
I had asked for the pricing for 10k per year with the assumption that I will do a buy out so miles would not matter. I think I might be going over 10k for sure year on year. Do you think it will be better to go with 12k taking this into consideration.

One more thing, the rebate that they are talking about, 9600, in that whole setup is spread over the 24 months+end of lease buy?

Also, in general looking at the break up that I gave in my original post, do those numbers look OK? nothing out of the ordinary ? Any items that I can push back on . I tried to get the desert protection given for free, but they said that they are already giving a 5k discount.
Thank you.

With the MF basically at zero, the $9,600 is reducing the amount of depreciation you pay over the life of the lease. Adding miles will just increase the amount of depreciation you’re paying during the lease.

I think if you really like the car, can structure a normal (not a one pay) that gets you the miles you want, and can get a reasonable dealer discount before the rebate, then you should lease over 3 years instead of 2.

@z0lt3c and just about any LH user would tell you $3k dealer discount is garbage on this MME. The protection package is even more garbage. So your current Ford dealer’s offer is garbage. But the problem is most Ford dealers just won’t budge. They want to see these MME keep lot rotting.

If you’re open to other brands, you’ll find better deals than the MME.

Check out this broker offer from @endeavorauto to see how a well-structured Mach-E deal should look. Or just lease this one and ship it, buying it presents unnecessary risks.
