Deal Check: Audi Q5E SoCal Premium Plus

Please see the attached deal. I am trying to figure out if I should pull the trigger now, or wait till the roll out the 25’s and need to clear these out.

Thanks!

the discount from MSRP looks pretty good at just under 10%.

What is the “customer cash”? Is that extra money they are giving you as a down payment? or you you paying that?

I don’t quite understand the “3500” customer cash… so I didn’t include that in the calc.

Here what I did with the calc.

This is all very interesting to me (how dealers do this).

Is the $3500 “customer cash” what they say you are doing to cover what the calc shows as ~$3100? So that is a way of getting an extra $400?

First thing to understand about lease hacking is that it doesn’t apply to all cars. Only a few have the programs (RV, MF and rebates) that are the foundation of a hackable lease.

Audi’s programs on their combustion cars are just terrible.

And the Q5 is so obsolete. What on earth are people seeing in these cars and thinking they are worth anywhere near these payments?

Maybe they like the way the car looks, drives, and that it has physical buttons and knobs?

Most re-designed ICE cars nowadays are not a quantum leap over the cars they cars they replace (esp since most of them stay on the same platform; I don’t know enough about Audi’s PPC platform to comment on that specifically).

Nothing wrong w/ pointing out that a car is near the end of its lifecycle and relatively outdated, I don’t think making posters feel super criticized for the cars they like is particularly helpful or educational. JMHO.

I am shopping for a Plug in hybrid - luxury-ish for my wife… but I like it to be kinda sporty. We currently lease a XC90 plug-in polestar.
She runs mostly electric during the day (2 mile commute to teaching job), plus running around town. We use it for road trips on weekends.

We no longer need third row. We looked at X3 (lease well, ICE only)
The Q5e is pretty close is in price, seems like a better road trip car, and has a battery. Do I really care is is end of life-cycle?

Max_g is correct - they don’t lease that well relative to some cars… Not hackable to 9+ years LeaseHackr score. Max-G has commented before, he doens’t like these cars.

So then what do you recommend?

For some reason i would get a fully loaded ariya over this. Thats just me

You weren’t aiming the question at me, but do you really like the car? If you’re open to other cars, what are you looking for in a car and what is your budget?

I love the Audi quality, fuel efficiency it offers, and look. I’ve owned Audi’s in the past and really enjoyed them.

Someone is getting paid by audi to say things like

Right, and you are recommending a Nissan. Know for all these things.

Decent deal but not the best. Q5e deals were way better last year around the same time.

Audi is getting redesigns for most models in 2025, if you are not in a rush, wait till the end of the year. There will probably be much more rebates to push all the 24 models.
If you are in a rush and like Q5e, try talking to other local dealers to see if they can beat this price at 10% +
I’ve done so many Audi leases last year for friends & family including myself. It should be relatively easy to get 10%-12% if you don’t mind spending some time.

$3500 is most likely total due at signing. Not sure if that also includes first month payment.

OP, join Costco and wait for next round of rebates to save another $1000 or two.

First thing to realize is that it’s not a luxury car.

Second is that the best deals depend on multiple levers beyond just dealer discount such as what rebates you qualify for (conquest, loyalty etc) and stacking MSD, etc etc.

Click on Marketplace across most brands and see what deals are best given your personal levers.
