Deal Check: Audi Q4 40 RWD Lease

Hackers,

I am a newbie to leasing and this forum so looking for some guidance.

I am in CA and interested in Audi Q4 40 RWD in Premium Plus trim. Multiple dealers are offering the standard July lease incentive:

  • MSRP ~$58K

  • Incentives $14000 ($1000 Audi Summer, $7500 Audi EV Lease, $5500 Discount off MSRP)

  • Cap. Cost ~44K

I am leasing to take advantage of the EV lease credit and will buy within 3 months so wasn’t focusing much on MF, drive-off, etc.

Any feedback or recommendations?

Looks pretty solid. Just make sure that they aren’t adding a bunch of useless add ons.

Multiple EVs are selling at big discounts prior to all the massive rebates (Etron GT and RS, ID4, Ioniq 5 and 6, etc etc).

There’s almost nothing that’s selling at where product planners priced them a year ago. Not Tesla, not anything.

What makes the Q4 different?

Have you tried plugging that into a calculator?

$14k sounds great and all, but a horrific MF and below sea level RV, can ruin almost anything.

I’m looking at a Q4 too. I really like the car and I have an RS E-Tron GT so it would make a good companion.

Problem with EVs is that they are over priced compared to an ICE so big incentives would have to be in place to live them. For Audi the EVs are just a regulatory play and not their profit center so incentives will keep increasing.

I’m waiting till the end of the year for really big blow outs on the Q4 before I pull the trigger

Thank you all for sharing your perspectives. Two comments:

  1. I agree discounts may increase closer to the year end but need a car now
  2. I am personally not looking at MF or RV since I intend to buy the car within a couple of months. FWIW, I think Audi standard lease deal across US for Q4 40 Premium Plus is $540+taxes with around $5400 drive off for 10K miles.

Audi reduced 2024 MSRP across all Q4 trims when compared to 2023 but these cars may not come to dealerships until winter. The current 2023 lease deals seem to reflect this pricing but not sure if dealers are offering more greater discounts off MSRP (before the lease rebates kick in). Would love to hear if any other recent Q4 buyers had better offers/experiences.

K but why would you do that when the resale value is a complete unknown?
