Wgat would be a good deal?
Do u have a copy of your dealsheet ? Able to redact ur personal information and share it here so we can see what kind of discount you are getting and the other usual fees etc. ?
Also have u gotten a price quote for lesser mileage per year ?
No, I donât. Thatâs all I have. AFAIK it is actually $7k off MSRP and includes $10k in leasing incentives without any weird fees.
I do need the 15k per year. During my last lease I would average a bit more than 13 per year.
It wasnât
I shared a data point and started with saying ânot saying this a good dealâ lol
The client did not care abt the deal was dead set on a color
These cars lease like shit
Okay time to chime in here!
Itâs $9300 off MSRP, $10,500 in rebates including dealer contribution for Corp G, and buyrate. I do think the mileage allowance here is making a pretty big impact on the payment. Hereâs the calc for the deal which hopefully helps guide the discussion:
My 2 cents: This car is a perfect example of shopping the car, not shopping the deal. If you really want an Alpina B8, this is as good as it gets (of course, Iâm biased). If you want a better bargain for a car generally, I think there are other BMWâs to choose from. My job? To get you the best possible deal you can get in the market as compared to what you can get on your own or from others for the same car. Sometimes that just means paying a less shi$&y payment on an already shi$&y leasing car.
Just for completeness of this thread, which ones would you recommend?
Oh ok⌠![]()
The high volume cars will typically lease much better (e.g., 330i, X3, X5, X7, iX, i4, etc). At the end of the day, if you want a specific car like an Alpina B8, I donât think any other BMW will be comparable or fill that void (except maybe an M8, which there are not many left of at this point).
Ok. But to be fair the question is not if this is a good deal in the universe of all leasing deals.
Even if itâs a bad, or even horrible, deal in comparison to an iX lease, if itâs the best deal you can get for an Alpina B8, then itâs a good deal.
The context always matters!
I think overall I got my answer since the only other Alpina deal mentioned was clearly much worse.
Thanks everyone!
Ps. My main worried takeaway from this thread is the concerns about the N63 engine ![]()
why not just do an m8 then? Idk seems silly to pay 500+ more per month for the b8
M8 would be $500 less? Where?
Maybe not 500 less but still quite a bit less. I see some broker deals for 1700 effective + tax on 7.5k miles so once you increase that maybe youâre at 18-1850?
end of the day youâre leasing very niche cars that depreciate a lot and driving more than the average person so itâs going to be a very expensive transaction.
An 850 would be dramatically cheaper
Yup. Its a pay to play kind of thing. If this what OP is set for, then this is what it is. Anyone saying this is a bad deal or horrible deal has no realistic idea what a good deal on this car would be either. Ofcourse everyone would want a $1k Alpina on here ![]()
And then the second point is the mileage needed. There is a big difference between a car listed on Market place with least amount of mileage, all fees and taxes due at signing and pre tax payment vs what OP actually needs which is 15k. Price difference between 7500 and 15k miles can easily be between $120 to $150 per month.
You shouldnât be. Youâre leasing and would be covered entirely under warranty.
Keep in mind that the quote above is including 7.75% tax.
