Deal check! Alfa Romeo Tonale E Ti AWD

Hi all, have not signed this deal yet and wanted to check.

I’m currently leasing an Alfa stelvio with ally. Talked to a local dealer in socal and here is what they are offering me to roll the remaining lease balance of stelvio (basically negative $7600) into A new Tonale 36 months lease. I put down $3k and the payments will be $707 tax included. Here is the calc link for all the details:

Thank you

Why do you need to get out of your stelvio at such a huge hit?

Already over miles. The 7600 covers the remaining payments(6k) plus current over miles

How many miles will you be over if you finish the lease?

And what was your original allotment? 10k/yr as well?

The lease has a year left I’ll be driving about another 7k miles

Yes 10k . By the time the lease ends (1 year left) I’ll probably have to change brakes and tires as well

So youre going to pay $9000 to avoid $2-3000 in overmileage expenses?

Ok… so do you yet see a problem here? You are paying a massive penalty in negative charges/payments because you went over your 10k/yr and rolling it into another 10k/yr lease.

Ride out current lease and just pay the overage…it isn’t like you wouldn’t have paid for those miles anyway if you had negotiated the proper miles on the original lease.

My driving has decreased significantly but I do get your point. Reason I did not sign in the first place. what do you think about the Tonale lease on its own ? Thank you

707/month for a glorified dodge hornet is not a good deal. Pay the overage at the end of lease, itll be like 2-3k and you wont be overpaying for a small cuv.

Thanks all.

Had a tonale as a rental in Europe and it was sufficiently disappointing. Think it was the hybrid, but was equipped differently from a Ti.

The stelvio is a much better car. Stick out your lease.

I agree. I considered buying the stelvio but had a few recent maintenance scares with it !

Ride it out. They will likely want your business when you finish your lease, so they may incentivize you and combine the mileage penalty with your next deal and give you a “discount” on the penalty if/once you get another Alfa/Maserati. No need to roll thousands and thousands of negative equity in a LEASE.
I have a Stelvio too and I would NOT want to buy it—I give up trying to fix the infotainment. If it works it works, if it doesn’t work, I look at my phone for nav and drive with no music.
