First time potentially leasing, how does this deal look? In the NY area
First lease and if you can’t run numbers to get payment/DAS yourself just hire a broker. How does it compare to all the broker deals in Marketplace?
Or I can go to a community that has helpful people unlike yourself to provide feedback on the deal I posted
Have a goodnight and LGR
Hello there, don’t be surprised about that kind of comments, even there is not all of them like that, you will find a lot of those.
What I’m not seeing in your calculator is any incentives at all, usually Audi posted on their website their incentives or you can find them on rate findr or Edmuns Forums. Just check on those if the Residual Value is correct, if the Money Factor is correct and if there is any incentives that you could applied in your zip code.
Thank you, I appreciate that honesty. No incentives applied that I know of, just negotiated the selling price to 10% less than MSRP. I will look into that now, thank you
It is sound advice. Know the math and negotiables on a lease to be able to put a target payment/DAS together. If not you rely on dealer to do the math for you. What happens if things change in finance? You just believe what the guy tells you and sign without verifying the math?
LOL. Yep, the expectation is for newbies to do a little research on their own in Marketplace, signed deals, etc. It isn’t that hard. Use the search function as a ton of data there.
How old is the unit? IE: how long has it been on the lot for?
I just sent you a leasing basics guide I put together that will help you.
Based on my 2 minutes, research brokers offers are at 10 to 11% off at this moment.
IMO it will be hard to get more.
You can save some money on dealer and broker fee, by dealing directly with NY dealer which will help with the effective monthly payment.
Good luck.
If this is a new body Q5, they do not lease well.
How about the old body?
I think this month X3 is a cheaper choice if you are not married to Q5 . Also, if anything you can easly get rid of BMW utilizing lease transfer.
No idea, I’ve been sold out of them for 2 months
Unfortunately no incentives for new body.
I was/am a newbie. Been leasing cars for years. Am still a ‘newbie’. But, I found my own good deals thanks to nice people here, and a bit of elbow grease.
Then the first question you need to ask is whether the car is even hackable or not
Hey, plenty of people lease cars without knowing what they are doing…payment shoppers with no idea of how to calculate that payment but yet they sign lease contracts with tons of numbers on it that they also have no idea about. To each their own I guess but that is why dealers LOVE leases…so many ways to take advantage of the uneducated! How do you know what is a good deal (or bad) if you don’t have a self calculated target lease payment along with the DAS you want?
Hey, dealers need “own good deals” to offer in exchange LH worthy ones. ![]()
