I was offered $883/month 36 month, 15k miles, $0 down and GM covers 1st month. True sign and drive. (I have Costco and supplier)
I wanted to drive the monthly down so I asked about 12k miles, then I would open the GM card ($500 rebate) and put $1000 down. Figured that would put me about $765/month.
That’s where the math gets funky. Dealer claims at 12k miles the sales price is below residual, and in order to fund it they would have to give me a $2k check back, and the monthly would be $873 then.
I don’t have a deal sheet as they claim they have to submit to GM to make sure it approves. I’m in a 2x at $765/month, seems like a nice upgrade for only $100/month (more power, transparent panels, matte paint).
Is this a great deal or just meh on an overpriced version?? I keep going back and forth.
Yes, the $2k back is to account for the selling price being below residual. Here’s my current 2x, love it….feel like I’m just chasing a deal here like an addict
I almost leased a 2024 2x for a great deal then realized it has 17 months left on the warranty cause it went into courtesy vehicle status 1.5 years ago
That’s a good point. I’m waiting on that info from the dealer along with the deal sheet so I (and fellow leasehackrs) can scrutinize it! Will post it when I have it
Your 2x lease was not great if you are paying $750 a month. 3x at that price point is an amazing deal. I just closed a 2025 2x with one pay lease with effective being $640 a month.
See if they have one-pay option, and you might get it cheaper than $800 a month. money factor difference saved $$$.
