Deal Check - 23 Rubicon 4xE and Willys 4xE

,

First thanks to this site and forum members. Lots if info to absorb so I am clearly a rookie at this. I stumbled on the current Nov Jeep lease incentives/rebate about a week ago and thought this would be a great lease IF the price was right. In Texas trying locking in a good lease on a Rubicon or Willys.

Rubicon w/ SOT and Cold Weather pkg

MSRP: 69,560
Selling Price: 64,796 (Netted Discount 7652 and Dealer Protection Pkg 2888)
Rebates: 14,750 (2750 more than regular Jeep Cash Incentives/Rebate)
Taxes: 6.25% but Lender Credits being used
Fees: 1,116

1k Down - 669
3,799 Down - 575
5,000 Down - 535

Willys w/ SOT, Cold Weather, and Trailer Pkg.

This is another dealer I was asking about slightly higher priced Rubicon and it was not even close to above (like 1k per month). Asked about a Willys and first it was $711. AFTER I shared details above on the Rubicon above, he checked lease specialist and came back with following. No offer sheet to show all the rebates, etc. but he sent screenshot of the following DAS

MSRP 62,520

1k Down, 579 due to for first month, 579 monthly

What should I do?!

I would remove protection package and get the rubicon. Never trust the “lease specialist”.

Yeah that was frustrating to learn about. Supposedly it has been marked down from 4,888 (tint, wheel locks, etc.) but I will ask!

I’d never get anything lower than Sahara. And protection package on a jeep? They meant to be beat up! Lol

I passed on this lease. Best offer was Ally bank but at 4k down plus 1 month, was 568 per month! Could not get them to budge on 2888 Protection Pkg and 299 Etch fees. Said that CCAP does not do lender tax credits.

They lied. Ccap does.

That was frustrating. I ended up on call with finance manager and GM and they insisted CCAP did not waive tax lease credits and would not budge on the protection package.

Then another member who recently purchased in Houston sent me the info on CCAP tax lease credits in Texas. Maybe this dealership does not qualify. CCAP numbers with 4k down plus 1 month, was 593 monthly! There are surprisingly a lot of 2023 4xEs nearby so will see what happens in December. Worst case scenario, I put in order for a 2024 with one of the forum recommendations.

Dont let thus mislead you. This is the idl cash for using the Ally standard rate, which is ridiculously high. It isnt saving you any more money.

Ok I might be close to a good deal. Waiting on confirmation on the use of the lease incentives.

MSRP 70,430 Rubicon
Selling Price 64,410
Rebate 14,750 14k in December Jeep incentives but think the 750 is IDL. Was told my 1k TDM would not stack
Filing and Taxes 4,149 No lender credit with CCAP so rolled into monthly so wondering if I can use my 1k TDM instead of 750 IDL??
Cash Down 2,000

58% Residual with .00218 MF

36 Months/10k Year, $536 monthly

Idl and tdm stack

Ok so talked to the finance guy. He confirmed the DAS is $2,000 and I am locked in at $536 monthly. So I gave CC info to hold the car and will try to pickup early next week.

So will hold off on trying to stack the 1k TDM for now. If they try to push front windshield, dent or tire protection prior to closing, will then ask to see if 1k TDM can be used to offset one of those.

I don’t think my skills worked this deal but perhaps timing as it is so close to end of year.

Why would you just give them an extra $1000

Did you get the complete deal details in writing before placing the deposit? There shouldn’t be any additional surprises. The optional stuff they push in the finance office when you go to sign is just that, optional. TDM doesn’t come out of the dealer’s pocket, so should be no impact to them either way.

Ok more numbers coming in, before charging my card they reviewed the CCAP numbers again and wanted my confirmation. Sent me paperwork with these two options in regards to TT&L which cannot be rolled into monthly. FYI I am in north Texas and dealership is in Oklahoma (only 90 miles away). I asked about 1k TDM, he tried to stack it would not let him, either 750 or 1000. So 1k it is.

MSRP 70430
PRICE 64410
REBATE 15000
Residual .58
Factor .00218
Tax 3250
Acq Fee - 795
Fee 399

TT&L and First Payment Upfront 3,720.33, Monthly Payment 470.33

If I chose to waive first payment then MF goes up to .00247 then only TT&L upfront is $3250, Monthly Payment is 496.85

Now admittedly he put in $3250 for TT&L but that should be close with tax rate of 6.25%. Looking online, fees should be around $100, right? Obviously would ask for the exact total once I chose the option.

Again this is for 36 mos/10k miles and it shows there is 118 miles on car

Then he’s doing it wrong.

Also, idl is $2750, not $750.

If youre doing an ally lease to apply idl, your incentives should be $17750 with tdm included.

If youre doing a ccap lease, you do not get idl. $15k is the proper incentives with tdm included. $14750 isnt an option.

Yeah IDL was my guess. When he was looking to add the TDM, I should have asked what the 750 was. He found my 1k code based on name and zip.

Thinking I will go with TTL plus first payment and be done with this. Asked to have acquisition fee brought down to 595 too. It is on their site at 595 when using the payment option feature in listings, so might as well ask. Will be around 550 if you added TTL monthly. So I guess it would be like not putting anything down and walking away with a 550 payment on a 70k 4xE, right?

Ok here are the final numbers. Thanks again to this site and those who answered to thread & messages. Will pickup tomorrow and will post in Signed if there are no issues

Calculator shows the residual at 56%. Shouldn’t it be in the 60s?

‘23 Rubicon is 58% on calculator, right?

Yup you are correct. But thought they were in the 62-64% range
