Deal Check: '23 EQE 350 SUV Loaner

I’m working on my first lease (many financed) and received an offer from a dealer. I got some feedback that I should work on my approach, so I’m attempting to do that.

'23 EQE 350 SUV, loaner, ~2k miles, RV and fees were accurate, so I adjusted the MF to hit the quoted monthly payment

Received initial offer:

I filled out a template w/ the RV and base MF for my zip with info (listed sale price) from a similarly priced EQE I’m targeting w/ somewhat accurate additional fees (taken from initial offer). I’m looking for some feedback on two things:

  • Should I be targeting 20%(+?) off on loaners?
  • Should I set MF to base upon providing my initial offer and let the desired % off MSRP drive the monthly payment?

Template:

Thanks!

Yes. If they want to mark up the mf on the actual deal and give a commensurate extra discount, more power to them, but your target deal should be based off buy rate.

Hi, not sure if this is the best place to post but I am also looking at an EQE loaner lease. I found a quote but I am not sure if I am getting the best deal.

1000 down
36 months / 10k miles

2023 eqe 350 awd suv

604/month

i see a lojack fee of 699
non tax fees 2150
no tax as im from nj

1000 down so it looks like the deal is going to be

3150 DAS
604/month.

If I could get this lower I would be ready to take a deal myself. If someone can give advice on what to ask / make sure im not paying extra

I do see ceramic protection for 699 and traceable theft protection for 399, not sure if they can be removed.

Loaner? Bring it down to $0 DAS $400-500 monthly. Who cares of those add-ons as long as the dealer can agree to your target.

Yes, it is loaner. I have a call with the dealership later today. What can I say to them to convince them? They say they have another interested buyer but I’m sure that is just a dealership tactic.

Get the MF & RV by becoming super supporter or from edmunds forum. Construct your deal on LH calculator to hit the DAS & monthly you want. Email them out. Only go to dealer to sign and take delivery.

thank you for the advice! I will see how things go!

Was this new or demo?

I messaged you, i dont wanna clutter another persons thread

I call bullshit on the interested party, either way $650/month with money down is just too big of a payment for an EQE, especially the 350 variant.

To get to your target numbers:

  1. Ask for 20% discount before incentives
  2. No dealer fees
  3. Buy rate MF

If they don’t play ball, then call another dealer. Don’t be afraid to go out of state.

end of Q2 is coming, EV registration fee is coming, sales are slowing and lease support is ending, I’m certain they will come around last 2-5 days of the quarter.

Where is the $4-500 numbers coming from? I see seemingly crazy numbers below that and ones above but not many in that actual range.

On your offer, I would advise the same: buy rate MF + 20% discount before incentives only, shop around, let them sweat. They’ll take some massive losses on these cars if they don’t move them before July.

Your right, but from what im being told they wait till last day of month and then they will tell family members come in and get the deal. I know that for a fact, there was a member here who asked for eqe amg and i was told its on hold… and you know why

Anything below $400 is a great deal, you need to get a dealer who’s willing to move it. $400-500 is easier to achieve for loaner.

Interesting. Just spitballing here but based on MF and RV seems like that means greater than a 21% off MSRP discount w/ base MF and $0 down - just using the template I set up as a go-by.

BOUT TO POP OFF HERE

As an update, the top offer is still the best I’ve got. 4 dealers crossed out so far, a few left in my area.

Send out another round of offers on the last week of this month

Probably will. Currently inquiring on some higher mileage ex-loaners a bit further out… communicating with this dealership has been an exercise in bashing one’s head against the wall… and I’m not even talking to someone who can talk price yet.

I did just receive a nasty-gram from another because I asked why the Fleet rebate wasn’t on the rebate line item… how dare I not know that the sale price listed on the site with no fine print or disclaimers included a rebate that requires a qualified customer.

Must be doing it right I suppose.
