Deal Check 2026 VW Jetta S in CA

$79/month seems like it’s too good to be true even with a down payment? $229/month with 0 down. Looking to lease asap since car got totaled :frowning:

What does it say when you click View Disclaimer?

Chances of finding an appealing lease deal by looking at ads is really, really low… right down there with asking a dealer for quote.

Welcome.

You probably want to look at the other trims, usually the SE has the best MF and residual. There’s still some left over 25’s in my area, you can snag an S or Sport for around $20k on a purchase. For the money the Jetta is a lot of car. Looking at the calculator, that deal must include more the $4995 total due a signing. The Jetta lease isn’t good at all right now. Below is 10% off and like $6k due at signing

Here’s the disclaimer

So the $4995 is a true cap cost reduction, and there are still a few thousand extra on top of that due at signing.

So, no, $81/mo is not too to be true when there’s prob $7K DAS.

I can get you a Kona SEL Sport for less than that base Jetta

As mentioned it would probably take $7,000 or more upfront to get to this payment.

Incidentally, if you pay $10,000 upfront you might be able to get a payment in the $3 range.

Any payment near that amount wouldn’t necessarily make it a cheap lease either.

I understand that you need a car right away.

I would strongly advise getting some help from a reputable lease broker for the immediate need. If you go alone, a lack of knowledge combined with a sense of urgency could push you into making a really bad decision.

You can (and should) come back later to pick up the skills necessary to hack a really great lease on your own next time (and over and over and over after that).

Good luck with whatever you decide. I hope everyone’s okay.

So you true cost is closer to $250 a month with the $5K cap cost reduction. You can probably roll that into the lease.
