Feels like I’m missing some key information, but I don’t know what. Any help is appreciated. Leasemax says I’m overpaying by $98 per month. Attached are the only details the sales guy sent. Also attached is a leasemax report

I’m not familiar with FL taxes or your tax rate, but here what I got with $2k DAS and 7% tax.

MSDs would be good here if your dealer can do it. 10 MSDs would save you more than $60/mo

Welcome back after 8 years btw!

Thank you! So is this a decent deal as is? I’m not sure why the leasemax says it’s $100 more expensive than it should be. Is there any wiggle room for negotiation?

I’m not familiar with Leasemax, but it doesn’t seem to include your dealer fees, govt fees, or your tax rate. If you remove all of that from the calculator you get really close to the Leasemax number.

As far as negotiation goes, if this is their 1st offer then you may be able to squeeze more of a discount. You could also reach out to other dealers with a targeted offer on a specific in-stock car on their lot, and offer to sign before month end.

Use the calculator above to see what an extra % does to the monthly payment. Also would recommend MSDs if you can as it saves quite a bit of money over the term of the lease.

And of course you need to decide for yourself if $7xx/mo effective is a good deal for this car. Consider the competition and look into what the same payment could get you on another brand. I absolutely love my 2025 but I’m not sure I’d lease a new one for that.

@turbopenguin what are the rebates and discounts comprised of? I’m in the market for the same car at the moment.

Based on what?

I mean, Zillow will tell me what my house is “worth” and I can get a “Vantage credit score” but there’s really nothing I can do with those either.

You can get a home equity loan based on this :winking_face_with_tongue:

Fuck if I know man. I just look at number.

Program expired 3/31 but when I was creating the calculator it had $5,000 Lease allowance + $3,250 lease bonus in FL. Additional $1,000 I assumed came from AMA/ABA/ADA

Keep in mind that for Volvo, incentives are based on dealer zip code not where it will be registered.

5k lease cash

3.5k loyalty

750 additional loyalty. I think it was local to south florida

My mistake. Did you end up signing?

I did. Finance guy tried to put 74k as the selling price and wanted $2.9k down. I said the selling price doesn’t match the 73001 from the initial offer. I was told 2k down from the initial offer included first month, tax, fees, etc. He tried to explain where the 900 extra was coming from but couldn’t do the math for me.

Ended up going to the manager and he came back with 73.4k as the selling price. He said they “waived the first month payment” I said sure whatever close enough and signed.

Correct me if I’m wrong here but the selling price is strictly msrp - discount, right? No fees are added into the selling price value of the lease sheet?

Typical dealer BS trying to catch you off guard. Post your contract in Signed (with your personal info redacted) if you get a chance. And in the meantime…enjoy the new car!

It’s really quite shocking how disingenuous they can be. And if you call them out their first instinct is to outright lie to your face and gaslight you. It’s disgusting. At least that’s been my experience in Florida every single time with any car manufacturer.

Honestly the less educated/prepared and the less you truly understand the numbers on the deal you want is where the dealer will try to take advantage. They smell it.

Which is probably the majority. Wild to me it’s legal.

The automotive dealer lobby is large and powerful. Information and education will be key in car buying for a long long time still…
