What’s the exit plan?
It doesn’t hold value well near to medium term
Isn’t reliable enough to own for 10+ years and take resale mostly out of the equation
Are you sure about that? Are you registering the car in NY? What is your sales tax rate?
4%. This was in the quote.
Run it for 10 years
If you want to keep it for 10 years, look into a loaner. Those have 5 years from the original in-service date comprehensive warranties. You can extend that to 10 years from the original in service date (so about 9 years and 6 months of comprehensive coverage) for not that much money.
Wrap that thing in a platinum warranty. The first AC repair will pay for it.
And you should be able to double the discount…
Keith and his husquavara chainsaw are mucking around downmarket these days
In NY the document fee is limited to $175, buying out of state??
I want to be wrong, but I do not think that there is any single county in NY with 4% total sales tax.
Where are you located?
Previous post from 2022 indicates MD, potentially Harford County.
the $175 cap for doc fee applies to ANY vehicle SOLD in NYS. It doesn’t matter where you register the car to.
Gross over volume baby!
Front is forever
Maybe OP moved to beautiful NY.
11747 is the zip code
Tax should more than double. Do not count that they will eat add $2k+ due to incorrect sales tax on the quote.
We have 8.625% sales tax on Long Island.

I see some brokers offer 9.5% off before incentives on new units and 14% on ex loaners.
