Deal Check: 2026 Kia EV9 Land (MA)

,

Got this offer from my local dealer in MA on a 2026 EV9 Land. It seems good, as there’s literally only one other EV9 in all of New England with the exterior/interior color I want, but wanted to check here for your thoughts.

  • Residual: $43,943 (62%)
  • Money Factor: 0.00233
  • Term: 36 months, 12k miles
  • MSRP $70,875
  • Dealer Discount $2,900
  • Kia Cash Incentive $10,500 - using an additional $500 flex cash from Kia
  • Acquisition fee $650
  • Documentation fee $699
  • Registration and RMV fees $175
  • Cap cost reduction and any associated tax $12,019.13
  • Any dealer-added fees or charges: $0
  • Due at signing total: $2,275

discount seems low?

Good based on what? How does this pre-incentive discount compare to what you see from brokers or from recently signed deals? FWIW, if you’re stuck to a specific color combo, and inventory is limited, you’ll greatly reduce your chances of getting a better deal. Some people are OK with that, of course it’s your money and you should get the color you want.

As an aside, this is Vistiq territory (though I haven’t checked this months incentibes). Not to mention, can prob find Ioniq9 cheaper as well.

To me it seems like a reasonable price if it’s exactly what you’re looking for and you want the car now.

We’re watching the market for 3-row EV’s and are looking at both the EV9 and Ioniq 9. In California dealers have pretty healthy EV9 inventory and several are offering roughly $3000 off MSRP right on their websites. Lease terms are not quite as strong as September, but still similar. Ioniq 9 seemed to sell well last month with strong incentives, which are now much weaker in October. Last month an Ioniq 9 in CA would have easily been cheaper than your EV9, but this month it wouldn’t be. Did you look in Deals? I see Land and GT trims 6% discount off MSRP in Connecticut. You’re at 4% off and looks like the MF isn’t marked up. Seems OK. Can probably get at least a little bit cheaper with negotiating, flexibility on timing, spec etc, but it doesn’t look like an objectively bad deal.

Probably not on an apples to apples basis with the same features

Not sure of the difference between Wind, Land and GT-Line models, but Wind seems to have lower MF compared to the others. You should be shooting for 5-6% discount from MSRP, but might not be possible if there is a very specific color combination you want. The small discount is costing you about $20-30 a month. Is that enough to make you settle for something less?

Seems too high for an EV tbh. By the November/December dealerships are going to get desperate to get rid of EVs.

Also never put anything down on a lease.
