Have an offer for a 2026 Kia EV9 Wind $543/mo (including tax), 0 down. 36mo/10k mileage.
Looking for a sanity check since it’s been rough finding a good deal on an EV9 in colorado.
Do you have a breakdown of discount vs. rebates? I assume the rebate is around $19.5K - if that’s true, you may need to push for additional dealer discount. And are they using the base MF?
You might need @moodyhank 's eyes on this.
Rebate is $17,100
Discount is $4,370
Edit: MF is 0.00203 for 24 months, or 0.00229 for 36 months.
Here’s my attempt at a calculator. I ignored the garbage $249 theft protection as I would refuse that and used Denver tax rate.
I get $16,600 rebate and $4870 discount. Are you assigning the $750 CO EV rebate to the dealer for a net of $500 and that is the additional rebate and corresponding lower dealer discount?
Ask your dealer for 15% dealer discount, and tell we will pick 3-4 vehicles. See what he says ![]()
I can get 2-3 buyers ![]()
My guess is they applied the CO EV rebate as that matches the $16,600 rebate plus $500. Using your tax rate of 8.2% I get a $533 payment. I think you’d be better off taking the full $750 off your taxes to get an effective payment of $509. Otherwise dealer is just using the $500 to reduce their discount.
I’m no expert but I think the dealer discount around 7% is nothing special. Perhaps someone with more experience and/or more familiarity with typical Kia discount can chime in.
No idea about the EV9 market locally, but the discount after the dealer handling and bs theft add-on seems meh. Shop around and there should be other dealers able to beat the written offer like this.
Interesting
Did you make a deal? Or still working with them?
I’m No help with your lease deal but can you buy a new ev9 wind for around 44-45k? Shopping used lands as we will be turning in our ev lease soon. Considering all options
