You can’t get to that residual because it’s more than the allowed mileage on a loaner. The numbers don’t add up. I used what you stated:
This equates to only 14% off a high-mileage loaner. I’m selling new ones at 13% off. You’d have to ship, but it’s worth it. I need to ask my midwest dealership if they’d go deeper on an X7, since their discount is less on them, but you get the point.
If you change to 10k miles in the calc, it matches his residual amount. They must be quoting 10k. Can’t loaners be leased up to 15k miles? And updated his DMV amount which gets pretty close. I agree though on going new at this point.
So this is what I get in the calc when I use the numbers given to me. As far as registration, it seems to track what I’ve been seeing, my zip is 55347 if that helps. I’m not against traveling to get a good deal. I’m retired and I fly for free…
Weird, I’ve never seen an MN registration that high, but even so I can get you a better deal.
This is for 39/7,500 on a similar MSRP (just need to know what colors and options you want) on a 2026. It’s pretty much the same price. That car would be sourced from DC.
Interesting, I had thought it was 8.525 for sales tax with local sales tax included, maybe that’s why the DMV fee is so high? I filled out your form and just sent it, thanks for weighing in!
