Deal Check: 2025 Wagoneer S Limited

Located in the upper midwest and have a deal lined up through a local dealership for the following:

-MSRP $67,790.
-Dealer discounts of $7,990 which include affiliate discount and brings the sales price to $59,800.
-Rebates are $9000 which include the $7500 federal tax credit, and the $1500 TDM.
-The money factor .00038 and the residual is $40,674. $600 down and $600/month for everything.
-24 month/15,000 miles

Any recommendations? Open to working with a broker but checked the marketplace and doesn’t appear to be much. Also open to changing vehicles/brands/etc.

Did you check if there were any 2024s near you? Would be a lot lower monthly if there is.

Thanks for the recommendation but unfortunately nothing is available.

This doesn’t seem like a good deal from what I have seen.

I agree - compared to some on here it doesn’t seem like much of a deal but brokers don’t seem to interested and locally, it’s by far the best I could find after contacting multiple dealerships. One even told me to go with this deal if it’s “real”. Ha.

Ignore the dealer BS. Expand your search and make targeted offers. These things aren’t selling and are having a lot of problems. These are $200-300 per month cars.

On the surface comes around to where it should be more or less at least in my area per calculator. MF is marked up from what rate finder shows but it is still basically under 1%. Just not a lot of incentives on 2025. There are other vehicles you can get a better deal on for a lower monthly payment.

If you are open to travel or to get one shipped look for a 2024 launch edition. There are still some out there. Incentives went up in July, but residual went down so it basically becomes a wash. Should be able to get one for $300 a month or less.

The issues are what I’m a bit leery of. Any recommendations on dealerships that you’ve seen or perhaps even a different vehicle? Thanks!

Thank you! Any recommendations for good lease deals that you’ve noticed recently? I’ve been checking on here but doesn’t seem to be a real good lease apart from the Hummer.

I got one of these in May with the same MSRP and a $9,890 dealer discount (which included $5k in BEV coupons), plus $12,000 in incentives (including $1,500 TDM).

tbh I put in almost zero effort, although there was probably some luck involved in choosing the dealer.

I hadn’t even committed to the car when I made one half-ass contact to see if it was possible to do better than the broker offers I saw here (hint: it is  ), and they opened with that.

This is exactly backwards from how I normally shop, but it was so cheap and easy I committed and left to go sign in less than an hour.

While I haven’t been following programs since then, this isn’t a vehicle I would have considered at $625 effective monthly.

Dang that is a deal - congrats! Mind if I ask if it was for a 24? Incentives on those are much better as others have mentioned.

I might have to expand and research other dealerships. Apart from the dealer discount, I have Affiliate and TDM but believe that is it.

It’s worth what hackrs have paid for it but definitely not worth $600.

It’s a 2025 Limited.

I’m at about 3 weeks and over 1,000 miles on my Wagoneer S and the issues I’ve had have been minor that I was able to work around. Majority that I read looked like were solved by either turning the car off and on or disconnecting the 12v battery and connecting it. I can deal with that for the $220 a month I’m paying.

Cheap leases EV wise besides Wagonner S seem to be for Charger Daytonas, Equinox EV, Blazer EV, Optiq, and ZDX. Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 usually have low priced leases too.

If you have affiliate, tdm, and can qualify for conquest there is like $22k in incentives showing on rate finder for 2024 Wagoneer S. Plus what ever dealer discount you can get them to give before incentives. If the dealer has BEV coupons they will use that can add up to another $3k I believe but those may be harder to come by.

$220/month? Find me another one anywhere within that price range and I’ll pay you to be a broker! Ha!

Thanks for the other recommendations, might have to check into those as well.
