Deal Check: 2025 VW Atlas SE w/ T - Need Help with Dealer's Math/Pricing

Hello!

I’m shopping for a 2025 VW Atlas SE with Tech (AWD). I am in NE Ohio & went to a local dealer for initial figures but their math is not matching up with what I’m getting from both the LH and Edmunds calculators:

There is also no mention of several fees (i.e. dispo fee, acquisition fee) on their proposal. Are they burying costs or is my math off somewhere with taxes or fees? I want to ensure this aligns so that I can better negotiate.

Terms: 36/7500
MSRP: $48,222
Sale Price: $44,500 (7.72% off)
Rebates: 0
Residual: $30,380 (63%)
Registration Fees: 38.50
Dealer Fees: $387.00
Local Sales Tax: 8% (about $3,560)
Acq. Fee: Not provided
MF: 0.00227
Monthly Payment: $571 with $2500 down (which I won’t be putting down but for this hypothetical)

Thanks!

Trying to resolve $2 a month isn’t going to be a good use of your time. I think you’ve dialed in the dealer’s quote pretty well.

VW’s don’t lease well and LH rarely sees people pull off a hack. If you’re open to a 2024 model year atlas, the MF is lower (0.00162). Combine that with much more factory to dealer incentives to entice a price drop means you can save quite a bit each month even with a lower residual.

Ignore their advertised price, try to get more off up-front.

Volkswagen stickers are overpriced— this probably has less equipment than a $43,000 Telluride—and their leases are mostly trash.

You’re looking at the wrong car if you wanna lease something; if you really want it buy it
