My first attempt, I sent the dealer my number and he came with the following:
- MSRP: 54390
- 3k off MSRP
- 8k in rebates
- $3400 in taxes and fees
- $390/month 0 down 36/10
- $301 24/10
how much more can I go?

This is a solid deal. I would do a one pay and it will get even cheaper on the 24 month term.
Thank you for the quick feedback. Quick question, why 24 (TBH - very attractive) but it’s such a short lease!
EV residuals have a larger drop off between 24 and 36 months hence EV leases then to be better with a 24 month lease vs a 36 month one.
I was just reviewing the numbers, in MA we get an additional 3.5k for 36/month lease from state, applied by deal at POS. I don’t believe this was applied correctly!
You’re right but generally the the $3500 is not worth more than the depreciation of an extra year and extra 10k miles
Better than the $640 a month offer I got from a dealer in California this afternoon. And the one I asked about is a courtesy vehicle.
Did you check for all possible rebates and incentives?
Got it down a little more. $503 per month for 24/10k or a one pay of $10,580. So not as good as some others managed to score.
$301/mo is a pretty good price - does it already include the $3400 in taxes and fees? If so, I think you can consider asking for a onepay in the $6000 to $6400 range. Onepay reduces MF by 0.00042.
Like others mentioned above, make sure they’ve given you all the incentives you qualify for (Costco Exec $1250, Loaner $2K + $1K, Supplier $1K, Conquest $2K, GM Card $500). The total incentives should be ~$7,750. Some dealers are allergic to the GM Card though. The $7500 EV credit is baked into the RV, which should be 74% for the 24/10K. Here in Texas, the taxes are brutal, but they also have a tax credit. The taxes came out effectively ~2.5% instead of 6.25%. Lastly, I’d target ~10% off MSRP - this would be before incentives are applied.
I ended up with offers from 3 dealerships for the 24/10 Optiq Sport 1 in Texas. Dealer 1 was $6,385 onepay, dealer 2 was $6975 onepay, and dealer 3 was $6,250 onepay.
Oh, BTW, 24/10K reduces the likelihood that you’ll need to replace tires / pay for maintenance. Maintenance is only free the 1st time (~10K miles), which is pretty much just a tire rotation.
Sinesto, thank you as you are making me think twice about 24 months! I have another lease that expires in 2 years, so don’t want to see myself shopping for 2 cars! At the same time, your comments make sense about savings! What are the odds of getting a lease in 2 years for the same price, or slightly higher? I like the comment about tires! These cars don’t need maintenance.
Why are we talking generally? Run the numbers for 24m (without MOREV by default) and 36m with
And the MSRP has to be under 55k
Have been trying to do this exact deal in MA but very few Optiq’s left under 55K that will qualify for MOREV and dealers didn’t seem to want to play.
Yes terms are quite a bit worse on the 36vs 24 months, but I think with the tax credit going away maybe better to secure a longer lease term now as I don’t think we will see these going for the same price in 24 months. MorEV basically makes the difference between 24 and 26 mos a wash by my calculations.
I got the dealer to lower the payment for 36/10k to $310! deal signed. i applied for the GM card which gave me another $500 rebate but i had to put $1000 on the card (first month and down payment)! This was the last one under $55k MSRP!
Hey TXEVSearcher, is Loaner rebate on Optiq $2k+$1k=$3k or only $2k?
Hi @Boater71
I am working with a dealer in TN and have been offered $353/month for 24m/10K lease. This is after applying the following credits - Loaner, Conquest, GM Supplier, Costco Executive. I am trying to learn how to apply the GM card rebate and bring the monthly down to $300ish range.
Did you have to apply the GM card at the dealer in order to get the $500 rebate?
And is the $310 price effective after the $500 rebate or before?
Hi, yes i had no idea about applying for the card. However, they had a QR at his desk that I asked if I could apply and he said yes. I applied right then and there. You get an additional &500 off MSRP so my total rebates were $8500. and must apply use the card to pay for a deposit. $1000. My deposit was first payment and deposit.
Great deal. So that’s the payment before the $3500 rebate
No, all the rebates are included in the payment!
Even the $3500 state rebate? So they did that point of sale?
Most dealers don’t and you have to apply for it and wait for a check.
