Thanks,
Also the “residual value” of taking the selling price less payments is $40,808 but the option to purchase is $45,972. Is that $5,164 imply a bad deal?

Here is a pdf of the dealer’s cal summary. They keep adding a downpayment even though I state zero down.
There is no down payment or any out-of-pocket money due at signing according to the dealer worksheet. I did confirm all of the dealer’s calculations. All fees, including first payment, are capitalized. The 2145.57 down payment is piss poor terminology as it is very misleading. It actually reflects the amount capitalized in excess of the 650-acquisition fee…
( 63776.57 - 650.00) - 60981.00 = 2145.57
2145.57 = 853.15 + 735.22 + 557.20
Total capitalized fees = 2145.57 + 650.00 = 2795.57
60981 + 2795.57 = 63776.57
OR
SP + Capped fees - Cap reduction = Adj. Cap
73981.00 + 2795.57 - 13000.00 = 63776.57
Bottom line: zero drive off followed by 23 monthly payments of 853.15 each
If you would like to see all calculations in detail, I would be happy to provide them.
Did the discounts get that bad on this? FYI have a friend who got a Land for 580/mo (taxes included, $0 down) in December at McHenry. Not apples to apples but the dealer discount was close to 10k
Don’t know. Not sure what competitive pricing is in your market. The 3999 dealer discount is 5.1% off MSRP. That seems weak to me. FYI- your MF = .00203. Don’t know whether that’s marked up or not. You may want to check 2025 Kia EV9 Lease Deals, Incentives, Rebates, and Prices — Car Forums at Edmunds.com for the MF buy rate as well as rebates/incentives… You’ll need to be registered. Provide the trim, lease term, annual mileage, and zip code.
I have and am having the same experience at other Kia dealerships all over. It’s not good. I’d been looking at that exact car there. Someone (neither of us clearly) bought it.
