$3,000 due at signing, $357 a month including taxes, and 24 months/7500 a year.
The total payments are $11,211 ($8,211+3,000 downpayment). The dealer took over 2 hours to produce a lease sheet and was barely able to explain the rebates. He tried to convince me that the $11k included a $7,750 dealer cash rebate and that I’d be able to use the $7,500 tax rebate for my personal taxes. He ripped the deal sheet in half out of my hands after I told him I’d review it at home before signing. I came back to the dealership 10 mins later to talk with the manager and he backtracked half of the stuff the sales rep had told me (also ripped sheet out of my hands lol). I’m wondering what else I should do or negotiate for. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
You can’t use the $7750 on a lease…and if you are leasing, you can’t claim the $7500 rebate for taxes. The leasing company gets this rebate and they pass this savings on to you.
Thanks, will definitely ask to put 0 DAS. They originally wanted $6000 down and $350 a month before taxes. You are definitely right about this not being a great deal. The only thing I can really negotiate is the MSRP at this point right?
Has anyone had success with asking for BEV credits? I’ve asked multiple dealers that only have 1 or 2 EVs left in stock, sitting for over 100 days, about it and they act like they’ve never heard of them
There are some people on here that have received them. Usually they’re given to dealers who receive a number of the EVs and can use them as needed to help close a deal. A dealer who hasn’t had a lot of EVs won’t have any…or they have already used them.
Spend time in Leasing 101 and learn how to calculate your own lease with spreadsheet or calc with a DAS of your choice otherwise you will always be relying on dealer to do for you which is a mistake.
