Deal-check: 2025 Honda Prologue AWD EX – $159/mo Lease Deal (CA) – Too Good to Be True?

Hi Hackrs,

Location: Fremont, CA (94538, 10.25% tax)

I came across this advertised lease deal and wanted to sanity-check with the community:

2025 Honda Prologue AWD EX

  • $159/mo for 24 months

  • $2,599 DAS (excludes tax, title, license, dealer fees)

  • 10k miles/yr

  • MSRP: $51,850

  • Residual: $26,443.50

  • Net cap cost: $28,505.53

  • Includes $7,500 EV Lease Credit + $3,500 Honda Loyalty/Conquest

  • Expiration: 9/2/2025

  • Closed-end lease, available in select states

My questions:

  1. On paper, this looks insanely cheap for a $52k AWD EV. What’s the catch?

  2. Are the MF and residual realistic or is this heavily dealer-dependent?

  3. With $2,599 DAS, what’s the true effective monthly after adding CA tax and typical DMV/doc fees?

  4. Anything I should watch for in the fine print (e.g., dealer add-ons, loyalty restrictions, missing rebates)?

For context, I do qualify for Honda loyalty (current Odyssey owner). I’m aiming to finalize a car before Monday if this checks out.

Appreciate any insight before I head to the dealer!

Best way to find out is to reach out to a dealer and work this deal. Use the LH cal to really find out if you are getting a deal though!

Do you have a flyer or something ?

This isnt $2599 due at signing unfortunately. It’s more like $6000 due at signing by the time youre done with the asterisk

I think the most efficient way is to read the * and see the thousands that have been left out of the bold-faced print, TBH.

The residual is never negotiable.

If you’ve already test driven the car, there is no need to go to the dealership unless you’re picking up the car.

One should never talk numbers with a dealer without knowing what they should be first

Looks like one can get close to this with no discount from MSRP.
