Hey all. Still trying to decide between Polestar 3, Cadillac Lyriq and Genesis GV70 Electrified, primarily.
Got a quote for a a dealer owner-driven demo GV70 Electrified AWD with the Prestige trim (1,473 miles). I’m in South Florida.
MSRP: $76,130 | Total savings: $23,500*
** I believe they are offering $11,000 to $14,000 off EVs, plus extra discount for demo*
Dealer fee: $950 | Tax: $1,014 | Non-tax fees: $1,075
Adjusted price: $52,630 | Balance after taxes & fees: $55,735
24 months / 7,500 miles
$0 DAS | 23 payments of $753 (including tax & fees) | equivalent $722 over 24 payments | $17,319 total outlay
I don’t have the residual or MF, so I didn’t build the calculator yet. Will update if/when I get it. But emailed and asked for it.
Would love thoughts and opinions on the quality of this deal and such.
This has been a challenging year for Genesis leases and is the reason i am turning my GV60 in in a few days. Last April-May they did a 13 month lease on the GV60 and GV70 electric with a 77% residual. Throw in a 10% dealer discount and the electric lease cash and you had an RWD GV60 for $250/mth. Now it is double that.
I would not lease a 200 mile range car unless I was only using it as an in town commuter. Both of my 300 mile range electric cars were frustrating to use in January when it was cold (and i live in temperate NC). It took twice as long to fast charge and range was cut 20-30%.
That being said, the GV60 was one of my favorite vehicles to drive in the last couple of decades. Granted most of my vehicles were trucks and SUVs which are not what I would call “fun”.
I got the wife a Jeep GC 4xe because she said no more electric “Gremlin” cars. (Despite neither the GV60 or Ariya needing to go to the dealer for anything). I will drive the Ariya that she had been driving for the remaining 5+ months of its lease, then get something else electric or hybrid in Oct.
I considered the Ariya. I haven’t had a new car in 12 years, and I just want something a bit more luxurious. If it leased as cheap in my state as it does in others, I’d probably get it. But it doesn’t.
