Deal Check - 2025 Cadillac Lyriq Lux 2

I am in the market for my first EV. We are thinking it ll be Lyriq. We found a color we like and this is what we gotten on round two after asking for best. I tried to use the calculator but there is a significant difference (~$200/mo) between dealership numbers and the calculator so I am doing something wrong here. Here are the numbers we got:

0 down, 36mo, 10K miles - $888 / mo

Item Amount
Market Value $67,610.00
Discount $7,860.00
Selling Price $59,750.00
Covert Pro Protection $2,995.00
Total Purchase $62,745.00
— —
Taxes $1,960.78
Fees (EV Reg, Docs, License, Lenders) $1,210.97
Total Price $65,916.75

unless you really need it for 36 months, go for 24 instead.
And make the dealer get rid of the BS protection package, and have them discount the car more, at least 3-4k additional

What rebates do you qualify for? Are some baked into the sale price?

I qualify for the Costco Executive membership discount. I believe that is already included in the total Discount line. I don’t like it that they don’t list those separately.

They gave me 24mo / 0down payment option as well. It was listed as $1,010. I was surprised it was higher than the 36Mo option.

Do you qualify for conquest?

What is conquest? They never mentioned it.

Do you have a non gm vehicle registered in your household? As a super supporter, you have access to all of the incentives and rebates. I recommend first building a target deal before you reach out to dealers. Instead of asking for quotes (e.g. what is your best), switch to a strategy of making offers until you find a dealer who will say yes or come close.

Search the marketplace to see what discounts others have gotten BEFORE incentives. Then use the calculator to build your target deal based on an aggressive pre-incentive discount + all applicable incentives you qualify for (e.g. conquest, Costco, retired loaner).

@anon37354946 this is not a good deal. I just leased a 2024 Lyriq Sport 3 and while I don’t think the deal I got is commonly replicable, you should be able to find much better deals and I give some detail on how to use the Cadillac website in my post below. I would also increase the search radius on the Cadillac website to 2000mi as many dealers are willing to do out of state leases and ship the car.

Yes we have currently two vehicles, neither are GM. Thank you for this advice. I just became a member of this site and trying to learn the best strategy.

Thank you. I was only looking at locally. I will expand my radius and read your post you mentioned.

Posting your calculator attempt helps a lot in being able to find any errors

Sorry. Here you go.

Will the dealer pay the shipping?

Click on Marketplace for Texas and see which cars have the best deals.

Your selling price doesn’t match the offer (you left out the $2995 add on).

You also have your fees and taxes in the wrong places, although those wouldn’t impact the monthly like the selling price will

You mentioned as a supported, I have access to incentives and rebates. Where do I find those? I go to Deals page but I think everyone has access to those.

You find them within the calculators Ratefindr feature. When logged into forum, click calculator, and at the top of the calculator, you can search for lease and finance incentives by year, make, and model.

Ok. Please help me out here as I am very confused why the calculator numbers are very different than what dealer is giving me. Here is a quote for a 2025 Optiq Sport 2. Below is the quote and the calculator link. 24mo/10k,0DP Dealer estimates $750/mo and calculator estimates $549/mo. So if I am to go with this quote, do I need to tell the dealer to match the payment to whatever the calculator is saying?

Item Price
Market Value 60,264.00
Total Discounts Applied 6,950.00
Selling Price 53,314.00
----- -----
Tax 1,666.06
EV Registration 400.00
Doc Fee 225.00
Lic and Reg 209.50
Lenders & Members Fee 319.88
Total Price 56,134.44

You are double counting the 6950 in the calc…looks like your deal might be MSRP plus 550 and the 7500 EV rebate…which is the overall 6950 ‘discount’ dealer is giving you. Horrible.
