Deal Check: 2025 Buick Enclave Avenir

Hello LH community;

Long time lurker, first time poster!

Wanted to check what I think is a good negotiated deal after shopping around for a large 6-7 seater family car:

Located in Phoenix, AZ I found a dealer offering
2025 Buick Enclave Avenir:

$65,125 MSRP
$9,794 discounts
$56,330.58 selling price

36 months, 10k; $799/month
36 months, 12k; $811/month
$1,632 Due at signing

According to the calculator and Edmunds:
.00237 is the standard MF and a 55-56% RV

I’m new to this, but please give me your feedback! Thanks !

Don’t know much about this car, but haven’t seen these hacked. So maybe not a hackable car. If I were you, I would fill out the LH calculator, then see how much dealer discount I need to make the payment match the 1% rule. Then see if it is actually possible to convince a dealer to give that much discount.

Please post your best attempt to a calculator to see if the DAS + monthly that the dealership gave to you roughly line up w/ what the calculator provides. Is the listed discount the actual dealer discount, or are there rebates included in that? Actual discount should be separated out from rebates/incentives.

Have you checked to see if anyone has an Enclave Avenir listed in the Marketplace or in Signed Deals & Tips? I assume not, but it never hurts to check. There many not be a lot of data here (so a Buick-specific forum might have more info).

And are you wedded to this specific model?

Have you looked into the Qx80? Seems like the best bang for your buck in the 6-7 passenger segment, but definitely drives more like a truck. Pretty decent lease deals here on the east coast, not sure about out West. You won’t find many Buick deals here as the programs just aren’t great.

@anique you’ve been here and active for how long and still go by the 1% rule? Forget the rule ever existed, not a good metric.

Had a QX80 previously. And have an Escalade ESV now. Trying to downsize, and get a little more fuel efficiency!

Definitely tried and searched. But don’t think these are hackable or very popular for that matter.

Not stuck to the Enclave, but it drove nice and the wife liked it. Coming from her Escalade, the Buick is still a huge car, at 207” long. Everything else we looked at (non body on frame) other than the VW Atlas just seemed too small.

Will post my calculator screenshot shortly !

Thanks everyone !

There were very limited dealer discounts or incentives on these other than $1,000 from GM. Will post the calculator now

Buy a hybrid. Like a Santa Fe or Grand Highlander for example. (Honestly even a non-hybrid V6 like a Pilot or Palisade will save on gas compared to the Escalade).

Or lease a PHEV such as a Mazda CX90.

I think I’m doing this close to correctly? And I still can’t get as low as the dealer offer of $811/mo
@paranoidgarliclover

Very much liked the CX-90. But was too small

Buick and 800/month don’t belong in the same sentence. Keep shopping!

You cannot hack what isn’t hackable.

Don’t waste ~$30,000 to rent a rebadged Chevy Traverse, return it and rent again.

I must admit I’ve never been great at the calculator. Did you get the MF from Ratefindr (I didn’t realize MFs went “out” that far)?

And did you confirm the rebates/incentives?

If so, then at least the dealer isn’t obviously padding the deal somewhere.

If the Enclave Avenir works well for you and wife, then maybe consider financing it (since it doesn’t seem like there’s some huge lease-only rebate/incentive)?

Thanks for the feedback.

Any hackable suggestions that have this kind of space, non body on frame, and aren’t a minivan ? :grimacing::crazy_face::thinking:

Thanks. I am considering that too. Am just afraid of the resale on these. Buicks have notoriously not held their value… no GM incentives for finance or lease sadly, other than $1000 customer cash. Or .9% financing which is great, but only for 36months.

These are pretty new in market. I don’t think this will lease well for next few months. You can consider XC90 or QX60 which are lease hackable.

Go look up what 3 year old Buicks sell for. These cars are not a bad option when they are hackable. Just a none starter when they are not. Have you tried the numbers on a gmc Arcadia?

The best hack for unhackable segments is resale value. For a larger unibody that means Toyota Grand Highlander. Honda Pilot is not far behind in interior space (they’ve always been the best at packaging efficiency).
