Deal check: 2025 bmw x7

Buying car from IL, registering in Ohio

Trading in my 2022 x7 lease payoff 47543, getting 55,500 for it.

10% off deal and base MF. 500 rebate. 8% tax in my county in Ohio.

The deal sheet is without msd.

I currently have full msd in my x7 lease which I will carry over to this lease and add a few dollars to make it 7 msds on this one. $8k or so saves me $59 a month x 36 months.

Let me know if looks good, thanks!

Take the equity as a check, don’t roll it into your payment. Or you’ll never see it again if the car is totaled. Also $1150/mo for an x7? Ouch. Is it worth that to you?

I can’t take advantage of all the equity I have if I don’t trade the car to a bmw dealer. And the x7 is a phenomenal car, especially for my 2 child situation plus wanting large cargo space.

You can just do the deal, just have them buy the car for you and pay you in cash. You then lease the x7 as planned and used the cash equity to offset your monthly payment for as many months as it takes to run out.

Yes, true. I will look into it. Interest rate with MSD is 4.99, so basically can get the same in money market account/CD but have to pay income tax on it.

I agree that the X7 is a phenomenal car, but payments look a little too high comparing MSRP vs monthly payment.

MSDs are getting you how much discount monthly?

59/month on about 8k. 9% return

Doesn’t this compare fairly close to what brokers are offering on X7s? Isn’t around $1100-$1200 the going rate for these now?

Let me make sure I understand the numbers here: You’re making $7957 on the lease/dealer buy-out, plus you have another $8K in MSDs, totaling $15,957 in assistance towards the X7. Correct?

Couple questions:

  1. Have you shopped around other BMW Dealerships to make sure you can’t make more on the current lease/dealer buy-out?

  2. Isn’t that cash worth more in your pocket (maybe allocating a % of it towards the X7?)

  3. I think the discount you’re getting on the X7 is decent, but make sure you’re confirming in Marketplace and SIGNED! that you can’t get 12-14%, which I believe I’ve seen on the X7s based on the region of the country.
