DEAL CHECK 2025 BMW iX50 (Loaner) - NJ - end Sept

Hi - would appreciate some advice on a loaner iX50 - sorry, a newbie at this.

BMW iX50 2025 loaner with ~4000 miles on the clock

36 month, 7,500 p.a.

MSRP $98,275 (including $1,125 destination)

Selling price $80,000

Rebates $10,000 (including $1,000 Loyalty)

MF 0.00095

Residual 48.2%

Works out to $754/month, $6475 first payment ($2582 taxes, $925 + $999 doc and lease acquisition fees, $1312 govt fee + first month)

My newbie thoughts reading around this and other forums -

Big picture: residual seems very low (Rate Findr’s coming out with 53%, but I don’t know if can negotiate this), MF seems good compared to other stuff I read out there (but Rate Finder suggests 0.0003 which seems very (too?) low), 18.6% discount I have no idea - it is the pre LCI model.

Details:

  • taxes seem out of whack - even at $754 per month –> $27,444 total, so tax should be $1798 (6.625% tax in NJ?)

If I plug the offered deal into the Calculator it comes out at ~9.5 years.

Thoughts? Thanks so much.

You can’t negotiate the residual value. I would scan through signed to see if it’s better to pursue a 24 month lease over 36 as well. Negotiate more off the selling price as well. There are so many IX’s still on lots and they have 2 days to sell them, the ball is in your court.

I can’t speak on taxes though, sorry.

Thanks so much

Something seems very wrong. If it only has 4,000 miles, there shouldn’t be that much of a residual reduction. Is there something really special about this loaner? I’m guessing that I can put you into a brand-new 2026 for pretty much the same price, assuming the same MSRP, and the iX xDr45 has a lower MSRP:

I have a few 60s around $100,000, so one of those would come out to $813:
