Deal Check 2025 BMW 230i (2 series 2dr)

Would love some feedback on a lease deal for a New 2025 BMW 230i 2dr. The car is located on the central coast in Northern California.

$3999 down and 36 months 10k miles $583 monthly

breakdown:
MSRP $44,355
Selling price $39,919
Loyalty Discount $500
Government fees $660.12
Doc fees $85
Permaplate Ceramic $599 (I hate these add on’s but they make it seem like it is already part of the car
Total Accessories $599 (another dealer add on)
Acq. fee $925
Gross Cap Cost $42,188
Cap Cost Reduction $3,584
Adjusted Cap Cost $38,603
Residual $24,395
Total savings $4,936

That is how the deal is written and would love to know if this is ok or run for the hills deal.
Thanks so much

Hello.

Can you also post a best attempt at a calculator (or let us know what the monthly and DAS is)?

Is the cap cost reduction a down payment that you’re making?

Sorry forgot that info just edited to original post but here is the info:
$3999 down and 36 months 10k miles $583 monthly

Given the lack of posted deals, I assume this is a car that simply doesn’t lease well.

You can enter the figures into the calculator to see the result lines up w/ what the dealer quoted you.

The $1100 in add ons would give me pause, but, again, it may be one of those cars that you just have to pay more for, if that’s what you really want.

Have you contacted any of the brokers (and the one dealership) in CA on LH to see what they can offer?

It’s not like any one person is ripping you off. But there’s neither enough discount from the dealer nor a program from BMWFS that make this a good lease. Program meaning combination of RV, MF and incentives.

Would just not make any sense for you to spend a cumulative $24,000+ to lease a car and return it after 3 years (and lease again) when you could have bought the 230i for $39,919 plus tax.

You can probably lease a basic 330i for the same cost. The $3999 down seems strange as well. Is that just a random number thrown out by the dealer to keep payment under $600 a month?

Any reason you want a 2 series? 3 series lease much better.
