Deal check - 2025 Accord SE

Would like to maybe pay tax, tag & freight out of pocket to get monthly down to around 260ish.

When I first asked for pricing (before inquiring about a lease) they did not have an acq fee (it is not included in the $27547.35, but appeared in this quote)

Should I expect that they will try to slip this in?

Thanks in advance

When you initially asked for numbers you gave no indication it was for lease and a dealer will assume you are purchasing / financing. All leases have an acquisition fee so yes, I would expect it to be included.

If you’re looking to cut costs, have them remove the appearance package for $795 unless you specifically requested it. That is a pretty high “processing fee” unless it includes some other items. Those more familiar with VA may chime in shortly though.

Thanks, this is helpful. Also I requested a purchase quote using HFS who is advertising 0% for 60 months.

When they supplied that they eliminated the selling price and only included the rebates. Is that what I should expect?

If they’re not offering any discount off MSRP…?

Yes, that is what I was confused about - if I buy with cash or lease they offer 15.59% off MSRP, but if I finance they sell for MSRP (before rebates).

Dude, make the dealer an educated offer based on what discount off MSRP you think is achievable from research. If you are leasing use that discount and base MF to come up with payment/DAS you want. Tell them what you want to pay and you will pick up that day. You are letting them control everything here!

This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I take that back - it makes sense if the 0% financing is being offered by the dealer rather than the manufacturer.

99% guaranteed that’s not the case

Yes, dealer reached out and lmk that 0% was dealer driven (they pay interest upfront), therefore it was offered at MSRP
