Deal check 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 4xe

Ok, so I know nothing about leases, have never leased in my 30 year driving history. Going to pick this up now:

DE dealer, NJ resident. New 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 4xe, $66,265 list price. 7500 miles/year. $509/mo, all inclusive. All I pay at pickup is first months payment.

I’m sure there’s lots more info I should know, but this is all new to me. I think I’m getting like $20k off the sticker.

I think this is a pretty good deal, do you folks agree?

Meaning it is already signed?

No, I haven’t signed on it yet. I guess I’ll sign when I pick it up

How does it compare to this one?

Post your calc

How did you arrive at the $509/mo price? You say you know nothing about leases and think you are getting like 20% off. I suggest not signing anything without a complete review of the lease terms. There are many facets to the terms of a lease and that provides many opportunities for a dealer to play financial shenanigans. Is 7500 miles/year practical for you? I agree with @Nom_De_Plume and suggest you post a LH calculator. You want to have all terms of the lease for review prior to signing.

Hey thanks, I have no calculation sheet or anything. Just negotiated with the dealer. What should I be looking out for when I I’m there? 7500 is fine for me.

Thanks

I would ask dealer to send you the lease terms for you to review from home prior to signing. Almost impossible to accurately review the terms while at the dealership. I would want to know what % discount off MSRP, RV and MF, what incentives are they applying, and what fees are they adding (doc fee, dealer add ons, etc) as starters. Have you researched what incentives you qualify for? Does NJ have some possible EV credit(s) post sale?

Do you know the financing bank - CCAP, SFS? Have a breakdown of incentives? Ask for MF and RV.

These are the other questions I would ask:

  • what is the selling price, before incentives?
  • breakdown of incentives
  • if you haven’t, I would go on Jeep website and build a Jeep. It should spit out a 1K offer which you can stack on the other incentives
  • Get a breakdown of what else is being built into price. I assume they are rolling Acquisition Fee, Dealer Doc, RMV and upfront taxes. What are those?

Get those numbers and then we’ll have a better idea on whether it’s a good deal.
