Is this a good deal?
The VW Atlas for trade-in has 66,000 miles on it.
Thanks for any help!
McDonald’s is dam expensive now.
This is an effective payment of $1200/mo. Way too expensive.
You’re giving them a $13k down payment (with your trade). If you wreck your new XC90 on the 2nd day, you lose all of that money. The top line discount is really pretty light - only giving you 6.5% off of sticker. You should shoot for 8% at a bare minimum, but better deals at 10-12% off. What’s th Colorado Package - is that the same as undercoating? Seems like a dealer add-on that should be dealer taken off. You can probably do better with your trade at autonation or carmax. Just go to Edmunds.com and put in your car specs to get quotes on the trade.
You need to separate the trade-in. Just have them write you a check for it. You also need to be asking for a 10% discount at a minimum.
closer to 15
A PHEV in Colorado should easily be the cheapest in the country—by far—if it has a $5k state rebate.
OK, thanks all!
I have walked away from that deal.
Hi all,
I am now looking at another lease from another dealer and would appreciate advice!
Is this a good deal?
The breakdown of the rebate, if it matters:
$7,500 from Volvo
$5,000 from State of Colorado
$1,500 for Labor Day sale, loyalty program, etc.
Also, why would the monthly payment for 12,000 miles per year deal be cheaper than 10,000 miles per year?
Thanks!
It wouldn’t be. Looks like they screwed something up.
As always, the place to start here is by putting together an actual target deal so you have a basis for comparison.
They’ve got the money factor jacked up through the roof. They’re showing a roughly 4% discount before incentives which is coincidentally pretty much exactly how much that inflated money factor is adding, so this is basically an at MSRP deal.
Thanks for pointing that out about the MF. Got them to bring it down to 0.00356. Still only offering $3,000 below MSRP, but lots of rebates.
Would love your thoughts.
They’re not discounting this car enough - there’s definitely room.
From what I have read here you are aiming for 10% off MSRP not counting any of the rebates. I got 8.9% off the 2025 Ultra with no work/stress in MA.
May I ask what your approach was? I’m struggling to get dealers to take my offers of 10+% off seriously on 2024s. How did you manage it on a 2025?
My understanding is at that kind of discount they are losing money on the car. Why would they do that on a 2025?
