Deal Check: 2024 Volvo XC90 Recharge Ultimate 7p

Hi All, I’m new to leasing and to the forum. I’ve started negotiating with a dealer on a lease but they seem unwilling to come down much more. I’m in Colorado and it seems Recharge models do not stay around very long so my assumption is that it might be difficult to get a good price. The rep told me that the MF was fixed and there wasn’t anything he could do about it; what is everyone’s take on this offer?

HARD pass

look for 10-12% off msrp before the 7500 rebate so target selling price of 80k-7500 so 72500 at the minimum

Thanks for the quick response. The first offer was $1,300 and when I asked how close he could get to $1k he said there was no way he could get there.

lets do some quick back of the napkin math

1270-1000
270*36
~9700 additional off to get to 1k/mo

I am suggesting you look for 72k selling price
you are @ a 76k selling price

I would shoot for a max payment of 1150 and a target of 1100

Do PHEV qualify for the state rebate in CO?

Looks like his dealer is charging OVER MSRP

  • $7500 EV Incentive
    $5000 CO EV Rebate
    =
    $12500.

He’s paying $344 Over MSRP if this reads right.

Edmunds does say some zips get $9500 as well so $2344 over MSRP?

Yes, PHEVs qualify for the state rebate. Most captives are now onboard offering it as a cap cost reduction where that wasn’t the case just a few months ago.

Closing the loop on this thread. Walked away from this deal; after several more back and forths they only came down an additional $1k.

In terms of state rebates, its my understanding that PHEVs do qualify but only for MSRP <$80k

Then your choices become loaded Mazda CX90 or a lower trim on the Volvo

Good.

It doesn’t matter what trim you get if you arent getting a good deal.
