Deal Check: 2024 TLX SH-AWD: A-Spec in Apex Pearl Blue

The deal is there. Plenty has posted here in this forum. The one you need to check is how much your insurance cost will be

That’s the beauty of LH. Someone else has seen it for you, and now you need to find a dealer who is willing to replicate.

That’s where the “hack” comes in. Often it’s a result of a too-high MSRP that requires big discounts and even bigger rebates. Let’s say 10% discount before ~$30,000+ in rebates. Nobody in their right mind is buying one, they are only leasing them.

Reasonably priced cars are actually much harder to hack. Dealers can move Hondas and Acuras for the most part with single digit % discounts because people are buying them.

So there’s nowhere near the combined $45k off that an RS etron could have. You’d actually pay more depreciation on an Acura lease than on the fancy pants Audi lease.

That certainly makes sense, clears up my misunderstanding. By that explanation, then, it’s it not worth it to lease the Acura I was after?

No, if you really want that car, finance it for 60 months. At least you’ll own something instead of spending half for nothing.

Have you tried to contact some of the broker who reply on this thread? Seems like they have better deal than what you can get.

Well that’s the flip side. A reasonably priced car might not be a good lease but it might be a good buy. Look at the poster above who bought a Type S at 9% off what was a reasonable sticker to begin with.

Yup. Last evening I sent one of them a text. Thanks for the help!

I’ll check it out!

@max_g When you write that I could get “more car for the same money,” what would you recommend. I’m mainly interested in a sedan with some pep. Definitely no EVs.

Luxury EVs are the most hackable cars right now. Beyond that, Volvo S60, BMW 5 series and Mercedes E class come to mind but often it depends on what contingent rebates you can apply. Loyalty for BMW, Sams Club or Amex for Mercedes etc etc
