Edmunds forum provided me .00139 MF and 58% residual; $2000 dealer cash.
Worksheet terms are $407 for $1,700 down, $397 for $2k down, $337 for $4k down. This is what the manager strolled out and provided us… without us asking… so sure we can ask for more.

Looking to see if we have any additional wiggle room on the terms. Was hoping to keep it under $400 / mo (including taxes) with as little as possible down.

A little about us: husband is leery to buy, this is just a 36 month bridge until we are out of the prime daycare years ($1,200/week for two toddlers - FUN!) as this is not necessarily our dream car. I am sure buying is more cost advantageous. VW is offering 0% interest on 60 month financing.

We have talked ourselves into circles on this one but he is willing to listen to the people on the internet.

Thanks for the thought partnership on this one!

What other makes and models are you open to?

We are not super picky - drove the Sorento (fine), Crosstek (cloth seats at our price point per the dealer, no go with two toddlers), Santa Fe (again, fine - had a bad experience with a blown engine a few years back at 60k miles so we are wary).
We have a financed 2021 CX-5 in the driveway and will drive it into the ground so the thought was we could try something new for 3 years. Open to suggestions!

Can it be an EV?

Not this go-round. Maybe in a few years but not sure we are well educated on it at this point.

@harrydogyo Any ideas to help your neighbor?

I mean it’s not a bad deal… you can get into other brands crossovers for a similar or lower effective payment

@Bostoncarconcierge has better local deals on similar Mazdas and also has been dropping some Audi numbers for the PHEV that’s not that far off. And that sick Prius deal.

Just realized you weren’t feeling another Mazda.

@AutoCompanion also has some solid Nissan SUV discounts.

I don’t think she has a bad deal but I was wondering if she can get a better car for the same money.

It’s a Volkswagen. If you can’t find a better car for the same money, you haven’t even tried.

Ask everything you want to know. There may never be a better time to lease an EV.

Thanks all for your feedback. Just sent a note to @Bostoncarconcierge - so we are in the best of hands from here on out!

Curious…what did you end up getting and for what price, etc?

We ended up in a CX-90, $415/mo 36/10, $2k down. Felt like an awful lot more car for an extra $20/month.
@Bostoncarconcierge had us in the new vehicle within 2 hours - happy customer for life after he helped us out!
