I tried to make it as close as possible to what the dealer has offered as a “very aggressively priced” deal (their words).

At first glance, looks like a horrible deal - with the $11k off incentives (I own a Nissan Kicks so loyalty) and effective 2.78% off MSRP with they negated with $1597 in unwanted add-on (AppearenceShield, etc.). The MF seems to be marked-up like crazy too…

Any thoughts or insights? would be greatly appreciated…There’s got to be a better deal out there!
Essentially I’m looking for an EV to replace my wife’s Nissan Kicks - going with the Ariya purely due to the additional $1k loyalty - so far the Kia, Hyundai and Mini dealers in UT have all given me bloated quotes on their EV6s, Ioniq5s and Countryman SEs…

Good thing you came here. This is a rather bad deal. Any brokers serve your area?

Click Marketplace and “ships nationwide” for each brand.

For example Chevy

Yes, well i think that’s what the problem is… Utah is like the leper colony when it comes to leasing a car, i guess its remote enough to not fall under many broker’s area of coverage. I was lucky enough to acquire my BMW i4 m50 a few months ago through IAC_Scott, which I had shipped to me from OR.
Now I’m looking for a cheaper EV for my wife (don’t tell her that!) and facing trouble finding one - I’m open to shipping or flying out and driving back given its not way too far away, ideally West coast makes sense for such an endeavor.
I did sign up for the 2 Ariyas PND from California offered here last week, heard back from one saying that they do not serve UT and I’m yet to hear from the other deal.

Don’t ask for quotes, give them what you want to pay for. Personally, you should just contact IAC_Scott again.

Just my luck

OK so that was my first thought and I did reach out to him…

But anyways, sure I can counter the deal with the payment that I want for the vehicle but where should I start at least as a baseline? I know 10% off MSRP has become customary and seems like a given here on LH for some/most EVs. So should I start there? Or should i begin with say 13.61% off MSRP like one of the PND deals here and basically mimic that deal in its entirety? See if the dealer can make it work for me to have a ~$300 monthly payment - which is what I am paying for the Nissan Kicks i am looking to replace… What about the MF - which kind of mark up can I expect and should be able to accept as a reasonable rate?

Update: OK so i put my game face on and made the trek to the dealer with my trade-in car for them to appraise. Demanded their absolute best deal with no BS add-ons and no low-ball value for my trade-in/negative equity crap or Nissan will forever lose my business (given that I have bought 3 cars (2 Nissans and a BMW) from this very dealer).
This is what they came up with after inspecting my average condition trade in (which does have a cracked windshield and needs new tires):

Here is the calc link.
I would say it is better than the original offer, 4.59% off MSRP and actually the highest amount offered for my trade-in
So what are your thoughts?

I would say it is better than the original offer they made of $567/mo with $3000 DAS without my trade (Deal check: 2024 Nissan Ariya ENGAGE AWD $567/mo 24/12k $3000 DAS - UT), is 4.59% off MSRP good? and actually the highest amount offered for my trade-in
So what are your thoughts? Advice?

Why don’t you keep all your questions in one thread instead of expecting people to give you duplicate answers?

Sorry my bad… I saw that I hadn’t gotten any responses on the other thread and thought that it might have become old news for anyone to look at… wanting duplicate answers wasnt my intention… Just want to get my wife a good deal on an EV soon is what i wanted!

I think we can encourage posters to consolidate threads w/o being so edgy.

OP, I’ll combine your two threads. It’ll be a little confusing, but I think it’s better to consolidate b/c it can confusing to try to keep track of info provided in one of 2 threads…

Calc link for above offer
I asked for MSDs and if they could match what I am paying for the Nissan trade-in ($327). They came up with $2450 MSD + $3500 upfront for $338/mo for 36 mo at 7.5k mi.
With $13500 for the 2 cars i want to trade in (I still owe $8860 on one).
They wouldn’t budge on the MSRP discount at all…and they only have 1 unit on the lot which is a unpreferred color white. This offer is for an “in transit” unit which will arrive in 2-3 weeks…
Dealer also offered this with $0 down and $3150 MSD for $437/mo for same 36 mo./7.5k mil.:

Calc link here for that.
Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Wisdom?

You’re also giving them your trade? This is a horrible deal.

  1. Separate the trade from this. Figure out how much your old car is really worth.
  2. Don’t try to get a lease deal on a new model. Lots of two row EV crossovers out there.

$50k Mini?! WTH?

This thing is only rated at 212 miles of range! It should be a $175/month special. Go get an Equinox EV, or an Ioniq5, or an EV6, or damn near anything else that is better AND cheaper.

To be fair, it’s an EV.

$8,200 ($3,500 cash + $4,700 equity) DAS for a $339 MINI?

Do the math. Who tf would pay that effective payment?

No discount? No thanks! Better EV’s out there for the money, is the money down cash plus the trade equity? Seems pretty awful

Yes the money down is in addition to the net trade of ~$4639. Yeah it is awful…
