Deal Check: 2024 Mustang Mach-E Premium (Standard Range, RWD) - 7.5K Miles | 36 Month Lease

, ,

Hello!

I am a newcomer to the leasing world and am negotiating a 2024 Mustang Mach E Premium lease in Maryland. A few factors: I won’t be trading in a vehicle, I am not eligible for any conquest deals, and I have great credit (~800 range). I’m trying to understand how good this deal is for my situation:

MSRP: $49,485
Dealer Discount: -$5,500
Manufacturer Rebate: -$9,500
Price: $43,485.00

Upfront Registration & Fees: $1,295.00
(Up-front registration & fees include $798.00 Admin Fee, $20.00 Electronic Filing Fee, $323.00 License Fee, $20.00 State Lien Fee, $20.00 Temp Tag Fee, $4.00 Tire Fee, $100.00 Title Fee and $10.00 Title Fee.)
Maryland Sales Tax: $2,686.98
Down Payment: -$336.53
Monthly Payment: $396.55
Total Due at Signing: $4,737.00

Money Factor: .00167 (I calculated this manually because I was having trouble using RateFindr)
Residual: $23,753 (48%)

I’d love to hear thoughts/opinions on why this is or isn’t a good deal.

Appreciate any input, insights, or opinions from this group!

Have you tried to shop this deal around with other dealers?

Thanks for your reply @ezzadee - I have not shopped this quote around yet, but I was considering that as a next step. Do you have any advice for things to say / avoid saying when trying to shop the quote around to other dealers? Thanks in advance!

If you’re open to alternatives, @AutoCompanion has Ioniqs for a fraction of the cost and in your area. There are many other EVs you could get for a lower payment and more miles.

I’ve plugged everything into RateFinder and I get lower payments at $336 per month. Since I’m new to this, I might be missing something. I attached the numbers below.

But there are a couple more discounts you could ask about to sweeten your your deal:

  • Mach/E-Lightning VIN specific bonus cash for either $3k or $6k off
  • Ford Power Promise Comp. Charger & Stand. Install (Free home charger installed)

In terms of shopping your deal around, I like to just approach other dealers who have the vehicle I want on their lots and ask them for their best lease deal. Ask up front about the VIN specific bonus cash, and they might give you a better deal. Then take your best deal to the dealership you want to do business with and then negotiate for an even better deal. They are willing to make some compromises to get you “across the finish line” if they know you’re committed.

That’s my 2 cents.

Only if you ignore the DAS.

The effective is $470

Dealers can only adjust their discount. They cannot change the lease cash or RV or MF.

So they absolutely cannot do much to compete against another make & model that has a better combination of lease cash, RV and MF.

I wasn’t suggesting to shop against other makes and models, only the same make and model from other dealerships. That’s what I’m doing currently for Kia EV6 lease deals. There are about 6 dealerships around me that I’m reaching out to.

That’s the entire point. That’s what he should be doing.

It’s like wanting to catch Marlin and going no further than your local pond

That is a good deal considering the MD sales tax.
