Deal Check: 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV Premium Plus AWD

What does your target deal look like?

Trying to lower it as much as possible .

Thats not a target deal.

What should this lease cost be, based on the pre-incentive discounts you found when researching shared deals and broker listings, with the lease programs as they apply to you?

When you plug that into the calculator, what do you get?

So my target deal is around $400 33 months/ 10k miles with $3500 DAS.
This dealer is playing game at the moment.

What dealer discount is required to get you to that number?

You a broker?

No, im trying to help work you through establishing what numbers you should be targeting.

Taking off the dealer added options and steeper discount would do it maybe

To drop $250/mo and an extra $1500 due at signing, you would need an extra $8k or so off after removing the dealer add ons. That would put the dealer discount required, based on this offer, around $13k/25% off msrp.

In your research looking at other deals, is that inline with what you have seen being doable?

10% is a good discount.
Too bad it’s full of Junk fees so it’s really 7.9 discount.
SCCA is 6% off.
That’s pretty good as well for CA

Ask them to keep the discount and remove the junk fees

Let him shoot for 25% off to get to $400 per month

as he put it the dealership is “playing games” by offering him an insulting 7.9% off

Check Edmunds for the optimal trim and term. 36 months on a premium plus may be a worse deal despite the rebates and discount. When the getting was good and interest rates were lower the 24 month term was optimal. It also looks like a Premium trim has lower MF, negligible RV difference with $1500 in extra incentives.

mllcb42 is trying to get you to use the calculator to put your target deal together…try it as you will learn a lot…if not you will most likely leave money on the table.
