Deal Check: 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SE RWD

Dealer is offering $3,625 off MSRP, just got off the phone and verbal payment with $0 down was around $500… Are they bumping the MF? I asked what the MF was and he said I needed to do a credit application to see what I qualify for- could do it over email but I would have to be in the dealer to know what I qualify for?

MSRP:$47565
Selling price:$43,940
Rebate: $12500
Doc Fee $800
License and acquisition: $1133
Taxes: 2684.40
Total:$33,373

Is it possible to do “zero down” in MD besides the normal taxes of the car upfront?

Edit: This is their pricing:
0 down $480
1500 down $406
2000 down $382

Got them to say what MF they’re using: .00275, when its the base is .00232. Now they’re saying I need to do a credit app to see if I can get a better MF.

Never submit a credit app until you have written offer with numbers that you are willing to sign for.
Look at Signed forum and Marketplace, plenty of deals for under 300-400 depending on the trim level. Use that as your baseline to submit an offer to the dealer. Don’t ‘ask’ for numbers. Give them the deal you want and if they can’t do it and won’t counter, move on to another dealer.

Why do you have $3K listed in post sales incentives? It does not impact your monthly payment though. Doc fee in MD is capped at $500, so they should explain the $800. Discount could be a little stronger, but not horrible. Don’t take more than base MF unless they up the discount.

Offer them $400 a month with $0 DAS and you have a decent deal.

Maryland has a state EV tax credit for $3,000, just opened back up July 1st for the new FY.

Didn’t know about the doc fee, ill have to ask them.

Dealer Processing Fees: SB 362 increases dealer processing fees up to $800 starting July 1, 2024 .

Well, so much for the $500 MD doc fee. MD has to keep those dealers competitive with VA. Also, I know about the $3K EV credit, but I understand there is a long waiting list ahead of you.
