I’m hoping you all might be able to provide some insight on this offer I received from a local Florida dealership on a new Honda Prologue Touring AWD EV lease (details uploaded and below). It seems like it is OK, but some of the signed deals I am seeing in here seem better by way of reduced money factor (one-pay?) or otherwise. I have Tier 1 credit.
What avenues do you think I can work on for improvement as we come into the last couple weeks of the calendar year. Happy to share the end results in detail as well. Thank you!
Yeah, I think they are pretty incentivized to move metal at this point in the year especially with the Federal EV rebates potentially going away in a month. I also saw that Honda had over 9500+ of these models on lots as of about a week ago.
Hey man - I got a similar deal on a 2024 Prologue Touring in IL in September. $399/month with tax, $0 DAS for 36/10k.
Given year-end timing, you could probably push a bit more to be mid-300s effective for a Touring; I think $400/month is more appropriate for the Elite trim right now.
Whatever monthly you land at, I would recommend rolling in the cash down into the monthly and do just first month’s payment at signing, to minimize your risk in case something happens to the car in the near future.
Unfortunately, the dealer I got the quote from sold this model, but another local dealer (close to my house) has one arriving in January they said they would match the terms.
Maybe I can squeeze them a little more when I go in. Regardless, I’m overall pretty happy with the pricing and looking forward to the new EV models Honda will be rolling out in the next couple years prior to this lease ending.
Once things are finalized, I’ll share all the detailed info in SIGNED.
As mentioned there are Prologues listed in the Marketplace and some better examples under Signed Deals in the past couple days. If you are only looking at FL dealerships you need to cast a wider net.
Thanks for the tips and link. I guess I was #doingitwrong searching the marketplace.
I was thinking predelivery service charges and protection packages would be easier to negotiate away when I’m at the dealership if I wanted to move on a purchase, but I will keep putting out more feelers. I have expanded into S. GA as well but no responses. These dealerships seem like they are slower to respond now that the foot traffic is picking up in stores.
