I am new to the leasing world and have been working on negotiations on a few different leases in my area of Central Michigan. I just got a worksheet from a dealer on a 2024 Mach E and I want to make sure I am reading it correctly. I am interested in doing a 1 pay and am confused by the worksheet as it looks like the payment is only $1011.62 but not sure if this is per month which is throwing me off. Could you take a look and advise? Lafontaine 2024 Mach E 24 mo 10500k lease - Redacted.pdf (80.4 KB)
I think it’s an X-plan price, which is a fixed discount, but in this case unlocks plan-specific rebates.
It looks like it’s saying the OnePay would be that $12,600 number, if I am following the math? I am not sure why you’d do a OnePay on this vehicle, where the rate is pretty near zero. It makes more sense on say an Ioniq 5 where there is more interest savings on offer.
If you are set on a Mach-E - check out the Premium trim instead. The programs are better.
I was trying to get a one pay for less than $6000. This was their initial offer to my request for lease breakdown. I have not even countered yet. I am currently trying to decipher as I had requested a 36 month 10k one-pay and this is what he returned. I am trying to figure out whether the “payment” of $1011.62 is one-pay or if it is a monthly amount for 24 months. They indicate $12000 in rebates so just trying to get an idea before I attempt to counter. If the initial offer is $1011.62 as a one-pay I at least know I am reading this correctly. If this is a monthly then I will respond accordingly. Any insight is much appreciated!! I am very new to this whole thing but very interested!
Not a problem at all. I actually just took one so this should help. Sorry about that! I do qualify for x-plan so hope that helps as well. Based on what I could tell with GM ev’s which I qualify for GMS on but no loyalty as this would be my first lease, the one-pay’s are much better MF so thought that would likely be the case with ford as well. I agree that $1011/mo is not something I am interested in and would not be into accepting but as a one-pay this seems like it would be very good.
Looks to me that the single payment amount is $12,610.92.
Just a hunch, but what do you get when you multiply $1,011.62 x 24, subtract the $12k in rebates, and then add in the disposition fee (plus any applicable sales tax)?
Regardless, it looks like a terrible deal. I’d pivot to making offers, but of course make sure you have a solid handle on all the numbers and that your offer is supported by the market.
I would agree there. I was already leaning towards the Equinox but this dealer came to me on a previous inquiry and thought I would give them a shot. I don’t think they are going to get close to what I thought this was. Thank you for all the feedback!!
