Deal Check - 2024 Escalade Platinum Premium Luxury

,

Long time lurker and first time poster asking for feedback.

Have been offered the following deal in Texas on a 2024 Escalade Premium Luxury courtesy car. Currently have a 2022 Escalade Premium Luxury that was bought with $0 down on a 48/12K in May of 2022 for $1350 a month. Cadillac is offering a $4000 rebate through April for existing lease holders.

The unit I have been offered is MSRP of $118,140 and will trade in the 22 Escalade which I owe $49,950 and they will pay me $62,000. Not sure what was their final discount off of MSRP but they started out at $10,000 off and I am working on what monthly payment will be. I did use the calculator on this site and also used old paperwork to calculate what I thought a fair deal would be. Their offer is $0 down and $1250 a month with all taxes and fees rolled in and pay 1st month only on a 48/12K or I can do a 39/12k for $1285. Supposed residual and MF are .00200 & 46% for 39 and .00215 & 39% for 48 which I obtained from Edmunds forums.

Is this a good deal and which is the better option between 39 and 48 months?

In advance, appreciate all feedback and suggestions.

I wouldn’t roll that $12k equity into a new lease. In the event your car gets totaled you’re not going to be getting it back.

Seems like they’re giving you about 15% off pre $4k loyalty incentive, which is solid. But the poor lease program on the Escalade, and all of the equity that you are rolling in is what kills the deal.

So if you’re asking for advice, sell your car for as much as you can and capture as much equity out of it. Pocket it and hunt for a more attractive lease.

Or just buy/finance the Escalade since it is a solid discount.

Considering your trade their offer is really $13,300 DAS and $1250/mo.

If you’re going to put all that equity into the deal, then definitely buy it. Don’t lease

This is not a good lease deal. As stated above, your equity is better served as a check in your pocket. Second, TX taxes leases in a way that makes leasing very unattractive. If this is the car you want, I would recommend purchasing. I got a 2024 prem lux (non plat) for $1100/mo with 1st payment das in a different state. And a 2025 for $1600. Although the tax structure makes them not as fair of a comparison
