Deal Check: 2024 Equinox EV 2LT AWD

Hello community,

URGENT!! Have to sign today!

Please do a quick check on this deal. Seems like not the right time to go for a lease but wife needs the car after hers was totalled out. Blazer comes cheaper but prefer the smaller vehicle.
Also going for 2024 model with AWD

Location: WA state near Seattle, WA

Dealer confirmed:
RV=77%
MF=0.0006
Zero down
all costs rolled into the monthly payment of 381

How does it compare to other deals in Signed Deals & Tips - Leasehackr Forum
Seems like there are lot of good one-pay or low payment leases on the 2025 model.

Disclaimer: I haven’t researched one of these.

Response: This deal looks guilty until proven innocent.

EDIT: First one that popped up in search is $2k DAS and $155 a month, less if you have Supplier or a Bolt. Looks like a CA deal.

Unless I’m overlooking something, you should put that deal down, wash your hands, and disinfect your entire house.

Thanks trism@

I don’t have the incentives that these deals are able to get through GM rewards, Current lease, costco rewards is gone. Also not putting anything down. WA state is proving challenging

Can you lease out of state and go pick it up or transport it?

It sounds like you really need a car, but I’d borrow or rent one until you can get a better deal.

Go rent a car. You’re asking for a bad deal.

That offer doesn’t include GM rewards or Costco. And you can structure it any way you want. $2k DAS will save you money on finance charges, but you could also roll everything in and pay more for the lease. (Can’t do anything about no current lease, of course… I’m assuming the totaled car wasn’t leased.).

I guess you need to decide if you’re trying to optimize this specific vehicle to the extent possible, or it’s more important to get a lot of value.

Either way, the urgency of having to make a decision is self-imposed, and I agree with the other suggestions of renting a car for some interim period and take a methodical approach to this.

But that’s obviously up to you. Not everyone has the same priorities.

Great question. I think I am trying to optimize this vehicle as I am looking for the 2024 2LT AWD that are not available around. Color and interiors. I can get a better deal for 2025 LT I think but prefer the AWD version. Any other insights?

This atrocious for an Equinox. Don’t know what the market looks like now, but weren’t these like $5-6k for 24 months? My SIL got a Blazer for $7k. I know you want the smaller vehicle but it makes little sense to get this for more money over the Blazer.

Rent a car for a week instead of rushing and making a big mistake. Look up the Acura ZDX, Blazer, or Lyriq deals. They’re all better values IMO. The Equinox isn’t THAT much smaller. These aren’t special cars (no offense, I’ve leased plenty of not special cars because they lease well). Saying you want a specific trim of a boring car, then paying almost 2x the monthly going rate doesn’t make any sense

Just buy something off a broker in the marketplace.

Any non GM vehicle in the house qualify for additional incentive.
Also, if it is 2010 or newer non GM lease additional incentive is there.

It’s easy to qualify for supplier as well, check your company first if not check in your friends circle.

Also, don’t ignore student / teacher or medical professional discount.

You should get for $250 or so.

By dropped the deal, do you mean dropped the price or you’re still shopping? If you’re still shopping, here are few recent deals from Washington state that you might be able replicate (try reaching out to people on the thread and see if they might be able to share the dealer/salesperson or maybe the 2nd best deal they were offered etc):

Signed -- 2025 BMW i4 xrive 40 36/7.5k -- $389 inc tax + 3000 DAS + 3150 MSD - #7 by Usr377 (this one had 3k due at signing)

There are also still quite a few Mercedes EQBs available in the same price range as your Equinox deal, check the Marketplace and consider grabbing an AWD EQB?

Hi thanks for the suggestions! I am still shopping. I rejected the one that had posted earlier.

That a lot for a Equinox, infact, this would be a lot for a blazer as well. Have you looked at some of the signed offers in WA? You should be able to get it down to less than $250/month without putting anything down.
Try to find a car that’s been on the lot for a while and ask the dealer for a discount on the MSRP.

I believe the Costco rebate is gone and not everyone qualifies for supplier, so a bit harder to score some of the super low deals, but agree that these is still a bit high for an Equinox

Costco is expired for GMs. They only have rebates from Volvos currently.

I inferred from OP’s comments that OP believed that Costco was required to get the sample deal that I posted, so my response was to clarify that that offer didn’t include a Costco incentive. I can see how that may not have been clear.
