I punched this into the lease calculator, and it says the monthly should be around $553 with 0 due at signing. Are they adding their own fees on top of the money factor they’re not telling me about?

I asked if I could negotiate selling price and I was met with a surprising “no”. I think the baseline selling price should be 9% off MSRP given that they’ve had so many issues.

Verify the money factor is the standard rate; and push for a little more dealer discount, and make sure there’s no fees like tint etc. . At least $7500 of the “discount” of $8500 I’m sure they are trying to tell you is from the dealer.

Make offers of an effective payment based on that discount — to every dealer in whatever radius you’re wiling to drive to pick it up.

Don’t bother haggling.

0.00191 is 0.00191 no matter whether it’s labeled buyrate or marked up.

Any focus on getting buyrate is completely misplaced.

The main thing to know about MF is how a markup can be compensated by a higher discount.

Thank you captain obvious. In this case, both a higher mf and a low discount could be happening here.

Damn so much snark from a guy giving time-wasting “advice” like this.
