Deal Check - 2024 CLE450 Cabriolet

Hey everyone, I’ve been looking at deals on 2024 CLE 450 Cabriolet models, expecting to find better discounts on last year’s inventory. I received this offer from a dealer, but for a $69K MSRP car, it doesn’t seem like a good deal. What do you think? Any tips on negotiating for a better monthly payment? I’d appreciate any reviews or input!

Def a lot for a CLE. But if you really wanna lease this thing, use a broker. Not sure if the 24s still have lease support

Convertibles are hard to get good deals on since they go to fleet/rental so often. V6 convertible mustangs can get pretty cheap if you have RCL loyalty.

I think you can check the LH marketplace, or sign up as a super supporter and put a lease counteroffer together to get a hefty front-end discount on an aged unit plus buy rate money factor.

@the411 , also consider the money factor is usually straight garbage even at buy rate on convertibles. Makes a simple purchase much more attractive since your loan interest rate or credit union interest rate will be a much better cost of funds.

Keyes in Van Nuys has a CLE450 that they sold, but it’s obvious the financing fell through and the car got returned. I think this one would be a huge bargain for you to just straight up buy.

IIRC @BENZORNOTHING is connected to the Lithica dealer network (of which Keyes is a part of).

Thank you @holeydonut – But I did transfer out of Lithia last October 2024. I am now with the Swickard Automotive Group. Anything I can help though, let me know

My impression is that many/most German makes offer lease support through March of the following yr.

Oh dang… ok Swickard. Got it.

Your buddies at MB Marin took two cars off the new car front floor and yammed them into their CPO stock.

If they were just going to move these to a rental/auction route maybe you can convince them to ship to our SoCal buddy.

Edit: W1KMK4HB2RF021876 looks like a dealer swap from MB Seattle? Why???

That’s not true. MB has specific rules. When a NEW MY (MODEL YEAR) – comes out, IE 2025, then the 2024’s have 6 months to go through.

It can be a variety of reasons and each store is different. But, our Stores talk to each other vs the other company where we were on our own island.

If they did move it from NEW CAR to CPO, there was a reason - its more advantageous to stay in NEW car vs CPO.

The MSRP is $76,535 which doesn’t change. The selling price is $69,941.

There is $4000 direct to dealer lease cash on these, so the true dealer discount is $5,184. They are clawing back $2,590 with the BS add ONS making the discount only $2,594 or 3.4%. you need to push for a much higher discount and lose the adds. This isn’t going to be considered “hackable” car even with a higher discount, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Make sure you compare financing it vs leasing if you are sold on the car.

Also 39 month term should be a bit cheaper for a lease.

Curious, when would this be for 2024 CLE’s?
