Deal Check: 2024 Chevy Blazer RS AWD - $346/mo 24/15 $0 DAS (PA)

Hey folks, I’m debating switching out of my financed 22 VW GTI to this CTP Blazer EV. I believe this is a decent deal but would like some input. I work for this dealer but not in sales.

2024 Chevy EV Blazer RS AWD (retired loaner - 1300 miles)
MSRP: $55,590
Discount: $5,400
Rebate: $3,750
24 months/15k miles per year
$346/month after tax!
Total DAS - $0 Sign & Drive
Qualifying rebates: Dealership Employee, Conquest.

Calculator: Link

It is a decent deal. 10% discount is pretty good.

What’s the breakdown?

$1500 - Purchase Allowance for Current Non-GM Owners & Lessees
$2250 - GM Dealership Employee Discount Rebate

This isn’t great considering you have the $3,750 shown, especially for a loaner. I honestly would shoot for more of a discount. That is realistically only about $3,400 off of MSRP which isn’t terrible but I wouldn’t call it amazing either. You should be able to get that on a brand new unit quite easily. There is GM (dealer) cash since the car is a former loaner.

I would at least aim for another $1,000 sale discount, which would bring it to ~$300/mo sign & drive. Also don’t forget the GM Rewards card sign up- put $1k of your purchase on it and you get $500.

I appreciate the input, that’s very helpful. I know this particular loaner did not make the 2,000 mile requirement to receive the “out” money but I agree there could be more discount. I forgot about the GM card too and that’s a no brainer.

I’m not really in a rush to make this deal and we really don’t sell to many of these, so I think I can certainly get closer to that under $300/mo deal.

How many miles are on it? Have them run the miles if its somewhat close.

And do you get free charging, or why would you possible want to swap a GTI with the GM toaster?

1,300 miles, so pretty close. And that’s fair  I mainly just want something that rides a bit nicer than my GTI and is more efficient so all I do is sit in traffic. Also to get out of my 6.25% loan, though that’s not terrrrible.

I’m not in love with this toaster, so I may keep my GTI for another year - I don’t think these EV deals are going anywhere.

Yeah, if you do decide to proceed with the loaner blazer just have them rack the miles on to meet that minimum.

Getting out of the 6.25% may be fine, but also know whatever money you dump into the EV is GONE. Are we taking the entire hand where we could just lose a finger?

You can get an Ioniq or Equinox.

Either way, keep checking Marketplace and Signed Deals & Tips for flash sales and inspiration, respectively.

The absolute rock bottom pricing will absolutely disappear at some point.

I’m not sure a Equinox would be better since we don’t have any in CTP, but I will check. Though, this Blazer is likely better equipped. We have a Kia and Ford store, but the deals don’t seem as sweet on those EVs and I’m only buying from our store so no Ioniq sadly.

It’s true. That’s the hardest part of this, I like where this payment is at but just not sure about selling my VW at this time. Can’t predict the future unfortunately haha!

I don’t think your employer is doing you any favors by taking only 10% off a loaner.

You may be better off with a brand new Equinox but you should know what Joe Schmo off the street can get just by clicking Marketplace
